March 27, 2016 Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Risen Lord Jesus, As we rejoice on this Easter Day and throughout the fifty days of the Easter season, do not the words of the psalmist echo over and over again: “Praise the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever” (Ps 136:1)? God’s mer- cy is revealed clearly and so intentionally in the Dying and Rising of His Only-begotten Son, sent to be our Savior and Redeemer precisely through His victory over evil, sin, suffering and eternal death. Yes, “Jesus Christ is the Face of the Father’s Mercy” (Misericordiae Vultus, 1). In His words and actions, we see revealed to us how loved we are by Our Father, how enveloped we are by His mercy. We encounter His mercy every time we receive the Sacrament of Penance, which the Risen Lord Jesus instituted and gave to His apostles and through them to His Church on that first Easter night. During the Last Supper, Jesus Christ instituted both the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Holy Orders, these sacraments being confirmed, in a sense, by His Dying on the Cross and by His Rising on Easter. And in His new commandment to love, the Lord reveals the depths of His Father’s mercy towards us and of the corresponding mission given us to be convincing heralds of this same divine mercy to everyone we encounter. Yes, in the Dying and Rising of Jesus Christ, the mercy of Our God is so clearly revealed, so that, in turn, we become its heralds every day! Registration forms will be available starting end of March as inserts in the bulletin, on the website and in the Religious Edu-cation office. There will be lots of Fun...Fun...Fun...Arts & Crafts, Mu-sic, Activities, Snacks, Bible Study...And More! [email protected]

Every Girl Loves To Twirl

A local charity helping children in need in Loudoun County, will be col-lecting dress donations in the lobby of St. Theresa’s School the months of March and April. Please donate either New or Excellent Used Condition Spring/Summer Dresses, sizes 5T-20 to Junior sizes 9-13. Think of bright, colorful, fun dresses that would make a girl want to twirl! Dresses will be given to Loudoun County elementary aged girls in need at an all free event in June. We greatly appreciate fami-lies participating in a simple gesture that can positively impact a family as a whole. Check out Every Girl Loves To Twirl on Facebook today. Dodgeball is back!!!

St. Theresa will be hosting our 2nd Annual Dodgeball Tournament for High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers on Sunday April, 17 starting at 2pm in the school gym. Sign-up at work-campdodgeball.com!

According to Diocesan policy, all new volunteers to the RE and School programs are required to submit the necessary Diocesan paperwork pri-or to volunteering. Paperwork should be processed and *cleared* before anyone can begin his or her service in the Church and School. Individu-als are not permitted to volunteer until these requirements are met. Also required is the VIRTUS course. Sign up and register at www.virtus.org today!

Dear Parishioners, Today we rejoice in the glory that is Easter: "He is risen, Alleluia!" Our entire Faith is based on the event we celebrate today, which is why Easter is the central feast of the Church calendar. In fact, every Sunday is considered a "Little Easter" -- one day is not enough to contain the joy that is Easter. I wish to extend to you and yours a most blessed day -- and season. I pray that each and every one of us may be renewed in our Faith -- no only in the words of our Baptismal Promises at Mass -- but truly in our very way of living. My thanks to all who helped to add to the beauty of the liturgies during the Triduum -- our choirs and musicians, our servers, lectors, ushers, and all who had a hand in the celebrations. Next Sunday we will mark the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. Our devotions will begin at 2:30pm and include exposition, daytime prayer, chanting of the chaplet, and benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Please note that confession before or after Divine Mercy Sunday suffices for the requirements attached to the promises made to Saint Faustina regarding the special favors of the day. Our annual egg hunt will also take place next Sunday, following the 12:30pm Mass. Bring the kids for some special Easter fun! May God bless you! Sincerely in Christ,

The Cailx Society

Having Trouble with Alcohol? Affected by Someone’s Drinking? Consider Attending a Calix Society Meeting– Saturdays at 10am.

Started in 1949, Calix is an association of Catholic alco-holics who are maintaining their sobriety through affili-ation with and participation in the Fellowship of Alco-holics Anonymous. Our first concern is to interest Catholics with an alcoholic problem in the virtue of total abstinence. Our second stated purpose is to promote the spiritual development of our membership. Our gath-ering today is an effort in this direction.

Each meeting starts with the group praying the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy, followed by a brief introduction. The discussion is then open for sharing of our experi-ences, strengths and struggles in a Catholic-centered set-ting. In addition to finding support and encouragement, many attendees have found a renewal and a deepening of their faith through the Calix Society meetings. Attendees’ anonymity is protected at all times.

If interested to learn more, e-mail: [email protected] or one of the St Theresa priests. Calix meetings are held every Saturday morning, 10:00am -11:15am at Club 12, 58 Sycolin Rd. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
