Meetings are held at 10.30 am on Wednesdays in the Narthex of St. Teresa's Church. New members welcome. Reconciliation - Last Saturday in every month at St Pius X or every Saturday at 5pm. Baptism - If you are thinking about preparing your child/children for Baptism please speak to Fr Gerry after Mass. RCIA - Please continue to pray for those considering this great commitment with Christ. Our RCIA will resume in September. First Holy Communion - If you have any questions regarding this Sacrament do please ask Fr Gerry. Details for 2019 will be available over the next couple of weeks.

Official Opening of Walsingham House at Abbotswick with Blessing of the new chapel - Saturday 1 September Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Alan at 12 noon. Come and enjoy what will be a beautiful day.

Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society is inviting supporters from all over the diocese to come and take part in the Barleylands Fun Walk on Sunday 2nd September 2018. This is a great fun, family event with a choice of walks on the Barleylands site, the longest being no more than 3 miles and a shorter walk which is suitable for children & toddlers. BCYS Youth Gather 20th - 21st October 2018, Essex Outdoors, East Mersea This event is open

to those in school year 9 and above. We will combine opportunities for climbing high ropes, abseiling, zip wires and much more to keep you challenged and entertained, with guest speakers and workshops which will give you fresh insights into yourself, and your faith, by telling their stories. One of our speakers for this Autumn will be the lively, humorous and engaging speaker Fr Paul Keane, Vice Rector of St Mary’s College, Oscott. The cost includes lunch and dinner on Saturday 20th, breakfast and lunch on Sunday 21st, two Mersea activities, 2 BCYS workshops, and a night in a Mersea log cabin – all of this for just £50. Applications for this year’s Youth Gather on Mersea Island will open on the evening of 29th July, on our return from Lourdes. You can apply by creating an account at www.bcys.net and applying on the Events page. If you are a little unsure about whether this is for you, why not speak to Helen Igoe or Elaine Hennessy our Youth Catechists who will be glad to help you.

Summer Lourdes 2018 – the “virtual pilgrimage.” From Tuesday 24th to Saturday 29th July the Brentwood Catholic Youth

Service (BCYS) will present short online videos allowing you to catch the flavour of the Diocesan pilgrimage, led by Bishop Alan. The homily from each Mass, interviews with pilgrims from all ages, and clips to help you pray and reflect will all be available. Breaking News… Huge congratulations to our young server, Joshua Milton who has successfully raised over £1000 for the charity ‘Make a Wish’. Joshua grew his hair so that he could have it cut and sent to ‘The Princess Trust’ to be made into wigs for children with cancer. Joshua we are very proud of you!
