REFLECTION: The word, neighbor, positively connotes to

describe an attitude of sharing and caring. But in our Gospel,

our Lord Jesus stretches the very definition of neighbor to

reach out either close or distant others. In short, Jesus teaches

us that to be a neighbor means to transcend all boundaries of

nationality, race, culture and race. Having the words,

neighborly, neighborhood, we are, in reality, a community of

neighbors willing to reach out or extend our life to our brothers

and sisters, whether distant or close.

Challenge: This weekend, let us be neighbors to distant or

close neighbors by actively participating financially to the

Missionary Appeal Cooperative to where Fr. Jojo Maripattu

has joined for the benefit of the Vincentian Missionary

    Apostolate as we.

THANK YOU!: I would like to thank you for your financial

participation on this Missionary Appeal. Thank you for your

generosity to the Maintenance Fund. And finally, I would like

to thank you as well for your support, generosity and voluntary

services for the past fiscal year!

UPDATE: Replacement of corroding 200’ water pipeline in

the school inner lawn that burst as well as a leaking gas

pipe. Parish Festival Raffle Tickets will soon be available for

mail in and sale. CCD Registrations are after the 9:00 am and

12 noon Masses at the Twomey Room. We accept Cash,

Check and Credit or Debit Cards Payments and dona-

tions. The Parish Office also accepts registrations during

    Office hours.

QUOTATIONS: (Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhor tation,

“Amoris Lætitia,” -The Joy of Love,- On love in the Family)

    Introduction

The joy of love experienced by families is also the joy of the

Church. (#1) Since “time is greater than space,” I would make

it clear that not all discussions of doctrinal, moral, or pastoral

issues need to be settled by interventions of the magisterium.

(#3) Chapter 1: In the Light of the World

The Gospel goes on to remind us that children are not the

property of a family, but have their own lives to lead. (#18)

    MassIntentions

This weekend we welcome Fr. Jojo Maripattu, from

India to our parish to participate in an Annual Missionary

Cooperation Plan. His congregation needs our help to

carry out their many missionary, educational and

charitable activities. They need our special financial

support for the training of young men studying for the

    priesthood.
