Psychologists warn that this crisis among American boys and young men leaves them alienated, without a purpose, and disconnected from their faith.

Join Fr. Hans Jacobse, an Orthodox priest with decades of service, as he talks about this crucially important topic that is for the entire family--with ample time allowed for audience questions. The speaking event takes place this Tuesday from 7-8 PM at the Action Institute/WMCAT building (98 E. Fulton St.). Admission is free.

THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

The Orthodox Christian Church has continuously lifted up the person of God the Father. For this important legacy, we have our earthly fathers to thank, like 318 Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, who are recognized not for their natural parenting but for their supernatural parenting. They are our spiritual fathers, our fathers in the faith, who understood the importance of right belief, correct doctrine, and true teaching. They felt it was so essential for our life that many even became martyrs defending our traditions of the Faith in Christ.

Let us imitate them becoming good, loving, merciful and faithful fathers in the flesh and in the spirit. Happy Father’s Day to fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, god-fathers, and those who serve as fathers! Wishing you a most joyous and Blessed Father’s Day!
