Interested in the Catholic Faith?
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process designed for adults who have never been baptized or have been baptized in other faith denominations and want to become Cath-olic. It is also for those who may have been baptized Catholic but have not yet received the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist and/
or Confirmation. This process is a journey in which people grow in faith, spirituality and understanding. As part of this journey, the topics of sacred scripture, the life of Christ and the development of the Church through history will be explored. The participants will learn about the sacraments, Mary and the
saints and areas of Christian morality and Catholic social teach-ing. Finally, for a better understanding, the practices and rituals of the Catholic Church will be examined. Classes will begin in September. Those wishing to enter fully into the Catholic Faith or those needing more information are asked to contact Sr. Mary Carol at 724-337-6412, ext. 15.
