Be mindful that while many of us cannot attend Mass at this time, we can still save and mail our offertory gift to our parish or bring it with us when we are able to return, to continue the mission of our Church.

Father Salvador will be celebrating Mass by Face-

book live on Tuesdays at 12pm and Sundays at

9am in English. Also will be celebrating Mass in

Spanish on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at

12pm, You won’t need to have a facebook account,

As we resume our public Masses at phase 1 of the COVID-19 pandemic we must observe certain guidelines. Therefore, in order to serve our community better and work with the best logistic possible, we would like for you to call the parish office 479-524-8526 if you are planning to participate at any of our Masses. At this point we can only make use of 14 pews. Our dispensation for Sunday Mass is still being granted by our Bishop in-definitely. If we runout of our limited space due to required 6 ’physical distancing, you may try to attend some of our weekday Masses as an option. Please make sure to revise some of the guidelines for attending Mass, such as wearing a mask to cover your mouth and nose, sanitizing your hands as you come in, avoid attendance if you do not feel well or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, etc. Upon your arrival our ushers will take you to your seat. So please follow their instructions. Thanks for your understanding during these challenging times.

During phase one we are not going to have Eucharist Ministers, Altar Servers or Choir for the Mass. It will be only one Lector, one cantor and Ushers.

Beginning Tuesday May 12, we are going to start having Mass in the church. We will follow all the safety precautions from Bishop Anthony Taylor.

Phase I Restrictions:

• Come to Mass wearing masks: All Partici-

pants, including children over

10 years of age, must wear masks or other

covering of their mouth and nose.

• If you signed up to come to Come to

church early: We can only provide seats for

25% of the church capacity.

• Do not give the sign of peace by hand.

• Holy Communion will be one specie only;

there will not be the Blood of Christ.

• Holy Communion will not be distributed

on the tongue.

• There won’t be blessings for those who

don’t receive Holy Communion: If you

can’t receive Holy Communion, please do

not go in the line to the altar.

• Respect the 6ft. distance.

• Please listen and respect the directions

and guidelines from the ushers: The ushers

have been trained by Father Salvador with

all the requirements from the Diocese of

Little Rock.

• If you are sick, or you don’t feel well, or

you think that you were close to someone

that was positive with COVID-19, please

stay home.

• Attending weekday Mass in lieu of Sun-

day when Sunday Mass in unavailable.

The Sunday Mass obligation remains

suspended indefinitely for all people,

not only for those who cannot attend

due to a parish’s crowd-reduction

measures. Even so, all people remain

obligated to “keep only the Lord’s Day”,

which they can do in any of a large varie-

ty of ways, including the following:

• Sunday participation in Mass can be

live streamed, or with TV-active partici-

pation, not just passive viewing.

• Attending weekday Mass in lieu of

Sunday when Sunday Mass in unavaila-

ble.

• Private prayer for an hour- which is the amount of time you would have spent at Mass, mediating on Scripture readings for the Sunday Mass, praying the Rosary, the Liturgy of the Hours, no-vena prayers, etc.

With all the current changes, please check for any new changes using our communication resource places.

Sixth Sunday of Easter We hope for many things: passing an exam, finding our true love, securing sus-tainable work, or surviving an illness. We of-ten seek to have God be a part of what we hope for and desire, almost trying to convince Him that our agenda is what is ultimately important. While our particular hopes may appear to be what needs to be achieved in order for us to be happy, they really are not. Our lesser, more person-al hopes can distract us from true hope. When God became a human being, a powerful message was sent: all that is au-thentically human is found in the divine. As the human Jesus lived and died in order to show us that he truly is the universal Christ, we have to keep our sight focused on our eternal truth and destiny and who we truly are. We have to be careful when we allow our earthly concerns to distract us. True hope is found when we place our trust in Christ’s promises and don’t rely on our own strength. True hope focuses on striving to-ward the fulfillment of God’s promises and not simply on achieving what we think we need in this life. Hope always travels with two friends — faith and love. In this trio of virtues, we find the very presence of God born in every human being. These are God’s greatest gifts, and they lead us to the fullness of His presence. As with faith and love, we cannot see hope with just our human eyes. We don’t carry this virtue within us to use solely for our own personal agenda. Hope is not something that simply comes with the hu-man package. As with faith and love, hope is a gift that is given to us to draw us closer to our eternal truth. Faith, hope, and love are signs that there is something far greater going on in us and something greater to persevere in obtaining. The true divine gift of hope is what will endure any hardship we encounter, especially those that will come from authentically living the Gospel. With all that is happening in our lives, in our church, and in our world, what is the reason for our hope? Ask God for the fortitude to see His eternal gift as the rea-son we get up in the morning and do the things we do.
