GOD BLESS AMERICA!
God bless our men and women who put their lives on
the line to preserve freedom around the world. We thank
God for our good fortune to be citizens of the USA. We
continue to pray for our men and women overseas
especially, Ryan Berthold, Justin Gousha, Shawn
Jarrell, Becky & Nick Johnson, Brian Schwartz, Rob
Solome, Sarah Turse, and Charity Winkler. If someone
has returned home, we ask that you let us know. Lord,
hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as
they protect us. Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform in our time of need. We
ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Please pray for the repose
of the souls of:
Catherine Whittaker, Margaret Nescio

Dear Friends in Christ,
We are now past midway through our Lent. Are we still holding to our spiritual commitments? It
is not a time to back off, but to intensify everything we are doing. Our litmus test is whether our
love for Jesus is growing as well as that for our neighbor. There should be habits that are deepening: perhaps love for
the Sacred Scripture, daily Mass, adoration or acts of charity. Sometimes when we taste something special our desires
grow. The Scriptures say, “Taste and see the goodness of the Lord.” It has been said that we should not desire holi-
ness, but will our holiness. How important to accept responsibility so that the grace of Jesus can build on our nature.
Yes, we are weak and hopefully Lent is surfacing just how weak we can be. Prayer, prayer and more prayer is the an-
swer. There are no shortcuts to life with Jesus. So, my friends, let us pray for one another and master our selves even
more so that by the end of Lent, we might understand the sentiments of Saint Terese of the Child Jesus who inspires us
in our weaknesses: “In times of aridity when I am incapable of praying, of practicing virtue, I seek little opportunities,
mere trifles, to give pleasure to Jesus; for instance a smile, a pleasant word when inclined to be silent and to show
weariness. If I find no opportunities, I at least tell Him again and again that I love Him; that is not difficult and it keeps
alive the fire in my heart. Even though this fire of love might seem extinct I would still throw little straws upon the
embers and I am certain it would rekindle.” Stay strong out of love for Jesus.
God bless you,
Father Szolack
Family Prayer Crucifix for Vocations Each week we will see a family receive a
Crucifix to take home for the week to pray
for vocations to the Holy Priesthood and Religious
Life. It is contained in a beautiful handcrafted box
which also serves as a stand for the Crucifix. Prayers to
be used by the host family are on a laminated program
in the box. Every weekend the host family will return
the Crucifix in procession. A new host family will re-
ceive it at the end of Mass. Let us pray for holy voca-
tions to religious life from our parish. If you are pray-
ing over a possible calling, please speak to Father
Szolack.
March 5 to 12 - The Casey family
March 13 to 20 - The Johnston family
Please contact Mrs. Denise Dietrich 215-901-3199 if
you would like your family to receive the crucifix at St.
John Vianney Church. Thank you.

HOUSE OF CHARITY
2016
Our goal here at Infant
Jesus Parish is $160,694.00 - to date we have raised
$75,335.00 from the contributions of only 218 families!
That’s an average gift of over $345.57. Now we invite
all parishioners to participate in this important effort. (If
each or our 3,000 + registered families would each give
$5 - $10 we would easily reach our goal.)
As part of the Jubilee of Mer-
cy, Pope Francis has called
upon all of us to practice the
corporal and spiritual works
of mercy. The first corporal
work of mercy is to Feed the
Hungry. At this time of the
year, many food pantries find themselves with empty
shelves while the requests for food are still great.
In response, the Diocese of Camden is organizing its
third annual faithFULL Food Drive. This Sunday,
March 6, every parish and school in the diocese will be
asked to bring food donations. The food collected by
Infant Jesus Parish will be used by our St. Vincent de
Paul Society to fill the 145 Easter baskets. Last year
we collected 929 lbs. of food. With your help we will
be able to collect even more! Thank you in advance for
your continued generosity.
Braided Palm
Several women of the parish are
making Braided Palm Bouquets.
They are being sold at $20.00 each
and can be ordered by calling the
rectory. Only 100 available, so order
soon. All proceeds benefit our Religious Education
Program.
Gloucester Catholic High School presents "“You're a
Good Man, Charlie Brown" on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday, March 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and March
19 at 2 p.m. at the Rowan College of Gloucester Coun-
ty Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $12. For tickets and
additional info, call GCHS at (856) 456-4400 or
email [email protected].
We will be preparing Easter Food
Baskets for some of the less fortunate
in our community on March 20th in
McKeever Hall. There are tags in the
back of the churches with suggestions for
food items needed for the baskets. Please choose a tag
or two and return the chosen food items by March
20th. Your donations may be left in the back of the
churches in the St. Vincent DePaul bins. If you wish to
donate a ham please bring it to McKeever Hall on
March 20. Please do not leave it in the back of the
church prior to that as we have nowhere to store it. If
March 20th is not convenient please leave a message at
the rectory and someone from Vincent DePaul will
arrange to get the ham from you.
Volunteers are always welcome to help assemble the
baskets and help with deliveries. Baskets will be pre-
pared on March 20th at 8:30AM.

ST. MARGARET REGIONAL
SCHOOL
CLASSROOM HIGHLIGHT
Mrs. Karen Santarelli
Technology Teacher
Mrs. Santarelli has been the Technology Teacher at St.
Margaret Regional School for 10 years. As part of the
technology curriculum at St. Margaret Regional
School, students learn the proper use of PowerPoint,
Excel, Word Processing and Publisher. Students are
required to manage their own flash drive beginning in
the fourth grade. Our media room houses 32 all-in-one
Lenovo computers for use by students in second grade
through eighth grade. Students in Preschool through
First Grade have weekly opportunities to use iPads in
the classrooms. Mrs. Santarelli especially enjoys
having her students create a PowerPoint titled “All
about Me.” In completing this activity, students learn
how to create an autobiography while also learning all
the features of PowerPoint. Mrs. Santarelli also works
with the students to understand the safe and efficient
procedures for internet research. Her students focus on
their faith by completing Web quests on Catholic
Trivia and Knowledge. Please keep Mrs. Santarelli
and her technology students in your prayers this week.
