VERITAS NIGHT 2019—A FREE PRE-ACYF LOCAL EVENT
VERITAS NIGHT 2019 is a Catholic youth fes"val
style event which will be held on the 9th August
(Friday), 6pm at John XXIII College, Claremont.
Last year over 900 young people a!ended the
event from across Western Australia. This year,
the event will run for one night only as a momentum builder
event for the Australian Catholic Youth Fes"val, with
Archbishop Costelloe and Bishop Don in a!endance. The night
will include music, dance, food, prayer, keynote speaker and
tes"mony by young people.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Please come and avail of this Sacrament of
healing on Friday, 2nd August. Mass will start
at 10am with the Anointing held during Mass.
This Sacrament can be received by all who suffer from any
serious illness or have grown frail due to age. Please pass the
word to anyone you know who could receive this Sacrament.
Please join us for a cup of tea after Mass.
LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR
The Li!le Sisters of the Poor who care for the Aged, will
be conduc"ng an appeal for funds at the end of each
Mass next weekend, 3rd and 4th August 2019. They
would appreciate any assistance you can give them.

that provides advocacy for Aboriginal people. The posi"on
of Tenant Advocate lawyer is a permanent full "me un"l 31
June 2022 (therea'er permanent, 0.6 FTE, with possibility of
full "me dependent on funding). The role supports clients
facing evic"on and other issues related to rental proper"es.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for assis"ng
the Director and other staff and volunteers in the daily
ac"vi"es of the agency. This role would suit someone with a
commitment to social jus"ce and tenant rights, experience
in advocacy and an understanding of the Residen!al
Tenancies Act 1987 (WA).
