Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Lawrence Parish The Martyr,

On Thanksgiving Day I would like to express my personal gratitude and thanksgiving to God and to you, my dear Parishioners and Friends. Thank you God, for giving me the opportunity to serve as pastor in this community Parish and for the ability of sharing my life and my priestly vocation with you, good People of St. Lawrence Parish.

Today is the occasion to say in union with the whole creation: Good God, Creator of the natural riches and the beauty of our land, everything is possible because you never stop blessing us with the abundance of your love and with the fruits of the earth and works of human hands.

Thanksgiving is a time to sit back and take stock of the beauty and quality of our lives: How am I personally using my God-given gifts and talents for the glory of God, for the benefit of my family which is responsible for Christian education of children, for community and parish? God, our Father, on this Thanksgiving Day we thank you and we pledge ourselves to share with others the spiritual and material riches you have given us.

As you gather around the Thanksgiving table, I hope that your family takes a moment to reflect upon what you are especially grateful for in your lives. As your Pastor, I am thankful for your commitment to discipleship which includes your presence, prayers and support of our St Lawrence Catholic Church..Also I wish to give special thanks to the families who always are responding and continue to respond to our plea for support of our beautiful parish.

Finally I invite all Parishioners to come together in continued generosity of spirit & in your financial contributions as we work to maintenance our daily pastoral work. In thanksgiving give to me the occasion to ask you for your presence and collaboration in our upcoming Fundraising events, Nibbles & Bids, Turkey Roll, Penny Sale and more. In this day of Thanksgiving just I have just one word for all of you...THANKS. God give to you more than all of you merit. Know that I am praying for you, your loved ones and your intentions. May you find great joy in giving thanks to God for the blessings in your life!HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!FraternallyFr. Heinner Paucar, OMI

O God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry; When I have work, help me to remember the jobless; When I have a home, help me to remember those who have no home at all; When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer, And remembering, help me to destroy my complacency bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to

help; By word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. Amen.
