Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard by appointment only. Those wishing spiritual direction should phone the rectory to schedule an appointment.

Sacrament of Marriage: Our diocese requires a one-year prepa-ration time for this sacrament. Please contact the rectory at least one year in advance of your planned wedding date.

Care of the Sick: Please advise us of parishioners who are sick or in the hospital, that we might keep them in prayer and, if possi-ble, visit them. Anyone who is unable to celebrate Mass with us in Church is urged to advise us so that we can, if possible, bring the Eucharist to them at home.

Sacrament of Baptism: Celebrated the second Sunday of each month. Other times during Mass. Please contact the rectory to set up a meeting. Instruction is required for all parents seeking Baptism for their child.

Leicester Food Pantry Christmas Food Distribution

On Tuesday, December 17th, the Food Pantry Christmas Food Distribution will take place from 3pm to 8pm at St. Joseph’s School

New Volunteers are Welcome!!! 3:00pm- 5:00pm set up 5:00pm- 6:00pm home deliveries 6:00pm- 8:00pm shopping * Sunday, December 15th from 10:15am to 11:15am and 5:00pm-6:15pm, we are looking for volunteers to help set up tables in St. Joseph’s school

To help make this Christmas a special Christmas for many in need, tags from our giving are available to take. Please support us by taking a tag and return wrapped gift (s) placing them under the tree. Since

there are only three weeks before the distribu-tion we are asking that you return your gifts as soon as possible either at St. Pius X church or the Parish office located in the Mother St. John House (no later than Dec. 15th so there is time to sort, box and ready for the Christmas distri-bution on the December 17th.) The Tags for town families will be RED and the Tags for Nazareth Home for Boys will be GREEN. As with every year, we provide sizes of the child in case you want to purchase clothing and we provide a gift idea the parent has requested. No gift cards will be given to the Children so we ask that no gift cards be donated. Children’s Annual Christmas Shoppe December 15th 9:00am-12:00pm

Children will be allowed to go to the thrift shop before and after CCD. This is a wonder-ful way for our little ones to learn how joyful it can be to give a gift to someone they love. There will be free gift wrapping so that the gifts can be kept a secret and no child will be turned away because of cost. Please join us for this event that has been well received for the past several years as the children really look forward to it.

On behalf of the fundraiser committee, our goal for the New Year 2020 is to create activities & events to continue to pay off current and outstanding debt to the diocese while also building up our community and parish family.

Please support us any way you can by participating and volunteering.

Be on the Look out We will be kicking off the New Year with our St. Joseph-St. Pius X Calendar Raffle filled with great gift cards and cash prizes. It was a huge success last year !!! Purchase a calendar or more for a chance to win prizes every day thru the month of February! (First prize will be drawn on Feb. 1st & everyday thereafter till Feb. 28th) Ask your family, friends, and or co-workers.. Will make great stocking stuffers, teachers gifts, hairdress-ers, barbers, etc., or a last minute gift, It’s not only a great way to support your parish but you or someone you know just might end up with a great item and or a little cash in your pocket! Calendars will be available within the next couple of weeks to purchase to be able to be used for stocking stuffers and will continue to be on sale thru the month of January.
