It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Joseph School’s Night Under

the Stars. Your attendance is testimony to your dedication to Catholic education and the values and standards taught here. I thank you for your past support, your presence here this evening, and your commitment to our future.

Tonight’s celebration would not be possible without the many volunteers, individual and business supporters who offer their time, talent, and treasures to make this night a success.

I would like to thank the members of the faculty and staff, families, parishioners and friends of St. Joseph School who have so generously supported our Night under the Stars. Whether you have made a donation, offered your time, or attended this evening, your commitment and spirit are what make this school family everyone can be proud to call their own. A word of thanks seems hardly enough to express my gratitude, but it is offered on behalf of many grateful hearts here at St. Joseph School.

Most sincerely,

913. School improvements: 2015 marks the 65-year anniversary of the opening of our beloved school. While we have added on over the years and are excited about adding a new gym and family center, we need to come back to the original 65-year-old building and make some much needed improvements to see us through many more years. It is our hope that we can replace more of the windows on the first floor and eventually look at updating bathrooms that are decades old. Our hope tonight is to get started on that path and raise enough funds to begin these projects. As in the past, the first $6,000 donated during our paddle raise will go toward the purchase of religious textbooks.

On September 5, 1950 the Ursuline Sisters recited this prayer at the first school Mass. Our entire school continues to recite this

at the conclusion of each Friday morning Mass.

Memorare to St. JosephRemember, o most pure spouse of the Blessed Virgin,

my sweet protector, Saint Joseph, that no one ever had recourse to thy protection,

or implored thy aid, without obtaining relief.

Confiding, therefore, in thy goodness, I come before thee and humbly supplicate thee.

O, despise not my petitions, Foster Father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them.

Amen.
