It has certainly been a very busy week and the term continues to roll on very quickly. Last Thursday the Year Two students made their First Reconciliation. Thank you to Fr Rafter, Miss Pryde and Mrs Graham for their preparation of the students.
Last Thursday we also welcomed our 2021 Kindergarten students as well as students transitioning from the East School. The students had a great day and spent some time being helped by their buddies for next year. Kinder will once again visit this Thursday. We look forward to seeing them again. NAIDOC week has continued this week, in order for all classes to participate in the experiences provided. Thanks to Miss D for the work that she has put into all the activities that the students have been involved in. This Friday, the Year Six students are organising a dress up day, where students are asked to come to school dressed as a book character. There is a gold coin donation as part of this day, which will go towards the Year Six gift to the school.

Last Friday Darcy, Jake, Bellah and Sam from Year 5 travelled to Albury for the Diocesan Basketball trials. This trial was for selection in the Diocesan team which will then compete at the Mackillop trials to be held in Wollongong in February 2021. All four students enjoyed the day and the experience against some strong competition from across our diocese with over 70 students attending the trials. Congratulations to Sam and Darcy who were successful in gaining selection to progress to the Mackillop trials.
NAIDOC is a significant event that is held to help people understand the history, culture and treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It's also a week where we are able celebrate the ongoing dedication, hard work and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To honour this year's theme Always Was Always Will Be, we decided to do activities that connect to the traditional way of life for the Wiradjuri people and the wider Aboriginal clan groups. The activities included:
