Penny Bradley will become the Principal at St. Joseph School on July 1, 2019. She is entering her 30th year in education. Last year, she served as the Assistant Principal at St. Joseph School. She spent 10 years teaching Special Education and Business in Hardin and Hart Counties. Mrs. Bradley then spent 17 years as an Administrator for the Nelson County Schools. She was an Assistant Principal at Nelson County High School for 13 years, and the Principal at Horizons Academy (the alternative school for Nelson County) for four years. After Mrs. Bradley retired, she spent one full year away from education except, for an occasional subbing. She realized that she missed working with students, so accepted a position teaching Special Education at Foster Heights Elementary. Penny has two boys, John and KC. They were both adopted from Guatemala when they were infants. Both boys attend Nelson County

High School and are very involved in the marching band. Mrs. Bradley and her late husband, Don, were married for 34 years. In 2019, Mrs. Bradley completed the RCIA process at St. Joseph and was received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Mrs. Bradley enjoys watching her kids in the band and doing all things that band moms do! She is also a huge UK fan in all sports and enjoys watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. Just for you UofL fans, she cheers for them as long as they are not playing Kentucky!

Suzanne Spalding will become the new Youth Minister for St. Joseph Parish on July 1, 2019.

She is originally from Marion County and grew up as a parishioner of St. Augustine and attended the grade school. After graduating from Western Kentucky

University, she joined Reach Youth Ministry based out of Helena, Montana. While serving with Reach, she traveled across the Western USA and Canada with a group of young adults to put on retreats for youth at

Catholic churches and schools. After two years with the program, she began teaching Spanish

(and recently choir!) at La Salle Catholic High School in Yakima, Washington where she is

completing her fourth year.
