New Song Books for Pews are Coming Are you interested in helping with the “changing of the books”? We will need many hands to gath-er up all the old song books from the pews, take off the plastic covers and put them onto the new books, and distribute them in the pews. We will also repair and re-distribute the Mass cards into the pews. The new books will begin with Advent, so we want to get them ready beforehand. Come to the church on Friday, December 1st from 10:00 a.m. till noon. For information, please call Mary Ellen Hennig at (408) 255-6382 [email protected] . Thanks so much!

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 8th

Mark your calendar on Friday, December 8th! You are warmly invited to a special Mass to honor Our Blessed Mother as Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. This is the 30th year that we will celebrate this feast day here at St. Joseph of Cupertino Church. At 6:30 p.m., the rosary will be recited in some of the many languages representative of our diverse cultural com-munity. At 7:00 p.m., the Mass will be concelebrated by several priests, and will include a narration and dramatic presenta-tion of the story of Guadalupe and a traditional dance, by the school children. Following the Mass, a fun-filled fiesta will take place in the parish hall. Would you like to become involved in the planning and preparation? We need many people to help with set up, decoration, roses, food, serving, etc. If you'd like more information or would like to help, please contact Mariqueta Churchill at (408) 245-3504.

What better way to prepare for Christmas than to come to this beautiful celebration!

May Our Lady comfort and enlighten your heart. May she be present to you and guide all the

members of your family. May you grow closer to Our Lord Jesus Christ,

through His most Blessed Mother.

Stewardship at St. Joseph of Cuper no Like the sensible bridesmaids in today’s parable, good stewards make sure that they, and whatever gi s are theirs to share, are ready to serve when the Master calls. For we know not when that will be. Am I ready? Stewardship Prayer Rev. Gregory Kimm, 2009 God rich in kindness and generous in love, You call us to be your people, a church, a community of faith. You have entrusted St. Joseph of Cuper no Parish to our care. Help us to be good stewards, always worthy of your trust. As you are a en ve to the needs of each of us, Enable us to be a en ve to the needs of our parish, using the gi s you have given us not just for our own good, but for the good of all. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Brother, and in the Spirit, who makes us one. Amen!
