SEMINARIAN COLLECTION

Last week or next week, you will receive a letter

from Bishop Ricken requesting your help in

supporting our seminarians. I would like to

invite you to pray about what God is calling you to

give to help support the Seminarian Collection.

Please consider providing a gift of $25, $100, $250,

$500 or more. As each seminarian answers a

specific call to discipleship, they will rely solely on

the generosity of other believers.

Please know whatever you are able to give is

As a Diocese, we anticipate costs of nearly

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Parish Music Ministry

Do you have musical talent? Do you know how to

play a musical instrument? Are you able to sing?

Would you like to help out with our parish music

ministry? If you do, please come to a meeting on

Wednesday, 19 August at 5:30 P.M. in the

church! Music is such an important part of liturgy

and we want to continue to make the music here are

St. Joseph Parish big, bold and beautiful. So please

come and join Father David that evening, whether

you are currently involved in our music ministry or

would like to be involved, and see what we can

continue to do to “make a joyful noise unto the

Lord.” As St. Augustine once said: “He who sings

prays twice.”

Children’s Worship Bulletins

Age appropriate (ages 3-6 and ages 7-12) activity

sheets, generously provided by our CCW ladies, are

available on the shelf under the Youth bulletin

board at the northwest corner of the church. These

sheets incorporate the Sunday readings into simple

learning lessons and fun activities for the kids.

Parishioners and visitors – please feel free to take

them for your children or grandchildren.

Our 2016 Raffle Calendars continue to be on sale

in church after the weekend Masses, or in the Parish

Office during regular business hours. The calendars

make wonderful gifts for any occasion. There are

daily chances to win $60 or $25 and they only cost

$20! Thank you for supporting our fundraiser, and

good luck to all those who participate!

St. Paul Parish Festival in Plainfield, will be held

on Saturday, August 1st and Sunday August 2

nd.

There is a 5K & 10K race on Saturday and a Polka

Mass at 4:00 P.M. On Sunday morning at 10:00

A.M. there is another Polka Mass. Following Mass

(11:00 A.M.) they will begin serving a Charcoal

Chicken Dinner. Bingo sessions are on Saturday at

6:30 P.M. and Sunday at 1:00 P.M. For additional

information about the Festival please call the Parish

St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro will hold

their annual picnic August 9, 2015. We will have

Baked Chicken & Ham-buffet style between 11:00 -

3:00 p.m. in an air conditioned building. The cost is

$8.00. We will have games, beer stand and

sandwiches. The entertainment will be provided by

Brian Jacobson. Bingo will start at 1:00 pm. The

Big Ticket Raffle will be drawn at 3:30 pm. The top

prizes on the raffle ticket are $1,000 - $500 - $300

and a 48” Smart TV and over 100 other prizes.

Anyone who took home a yard sign to advertise for

the Festival, please return it to church. There will

be a box in the back of church to put them in. We

hope to use them again next year. Thank you.
