Dear Friends,

It is with humble heart and tremendous gratitude that I present the 2016-2017 Annual Report. I have the honor of highlighting the accomplishments of those that went before me and those that continue to provide the financial foundation for making Catholic education available to all our students at St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School. The opportunity to take the helm of this fine institution is an honor and a gift, and without your generosity it would not be possible.

Cheers to 30 years! We celebrated our 30th year of providing an excellent Catholic education to many generations of young people. Parents who choose St. John Neumann not only give their children an excellent education infused with the powerful message of faith, they also communicate the importance of faith as the foundation for decisions they make for their families. One visit to our campus and you will see and feel the presence of Christ in all we do. For 30 years, our students, at every grade level, have engaged in service projects centered on the corporal works of mercy. We attend Mass as a community each Thursday and teachers infuse our faith into all our lessons. It is this environment in which we challenge all students to reach their full potential in spirit, mind, heart, and body.

The Crusader Gala exceeded all expectations in providing a night to remember, and more importantly, raising the funds that allow us to grow and advance educational experiences for our children. We would like to thank Mary Katherine Adams and Diane Beal, our Co-Chairs, for leading a dedicated, hardworking group of volunteers in making this effort successful.

Our Home and School Association enjoyed a successful year of fund raising and providing enrichment activities for our students and families. Our annual Back to School Bash, Mass and Picnic at the Park, Fall Festival, as well as many others, are essential in building a community that is eager to support our school. We are grateful for the vision, dedication, and investment of our parent volunteers in our school.

It is through these collective efforts that we have been able to expand our one to one technology plan from the middle school to the fifth grade. All of our homeroom teachers received updated computers, and our opportunities for learning beyond the campus have expanded. The carpet was replaced in our primary and intermediate wings, and our lobby was updated.

Please review the giving opportunities listed on the back page or on our website. Whether you plan to contribute to the Annual Fund, Endowment Fund, or the Giving Tree, know that your donations help to ensure the financial future of our school.

Again, many thanks to you for your generosity and commitment to our school and our children. This year promises to be one of new beginnings and growth for St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School. With God all things are possible (Matt. 19:26).

God bless you and your families,

Dr. Julie Broom
