Jesus took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray. While he was praying

his face changed in appearance and his

clothing became dazzling white. And

behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and

spoke of his exodus that he was going to accom-plish in Jerusalem. As they were about to part from him, Peter said to

Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents,

one for you, one for Moses, and one for

Elijah.” But he did not know what he was

saying.

Couples getting married in 2016 are invited to register now for the upcoming Chautauqua County Vicariate Marriage Preparation Class on Saturday, April 9th, at Our Lady of Victory Church Hall, 6 Institute Street, Frewsburg, NY . There will be a Meditation Service in the tradition of Taizé at St. Mary of Lourdes in Bemus Point on Sunday, February 21st at 6:30pm . . . and another in Mayville on Sunday, March 13th at 6:30pm—for the simplicity of music, meditation and silence. A Taizé service is a wonderful way to experience inner stillness and peace in the midst of so much other activity. This candlelight ser-vice is patterned after the prayer of the Taizé community in France.

The Altar & Rosary will be hosting Coffee Hour next Sunday, February 28th, after the 8 & 11 a.m. Masses.

Ryan and Olivia never hesitated when four brothers, all under the age of 10, needed a foster care placement after their parents could no longer properly care for them. Through the sup-port of Catholic Charities, Ryan and Olivia were able to open their home and eventually adopt all four children. The couple has also previously adopted another child. Kyle, now 10, wrote in a letter, “When I found out that we would be adopted, I was very excited because I would have a forever family!” Help Catholic Charities continue to link loving families with children in need.
