LOOKING BACK…

In spite of the pandemic and the many restrictions, our Parish continues to thrive and build up in aspects of our lives.

We thank God for so many blessings that we’ve experienced in the past year. Thanks to the government assistance we were able to pay our bills, salaries and put some money on the side from our dedicated and generous parishioners.

We installed new generators in the rectory and the church, thanks to our Ladies Guild and Holy Name Society who are raising money for our Church.

The small roof connecting the rectory and church was replaced. Gutters on the rectory were replaced as well. We are enjoying our new digital sign, thanks to the hard work and generosity of the Holy Name Society.

Our parking lots were sealed again and with the completion of Clinton Street, we look nicer and it is safer to enter and exit our parish.

We’d also like to thank Tom Henninger and Vince Croglio, who do so much for our audio/video, lights, etc. and the technology for our church.

There are so many small projects done to beautify our buildings and grounds. Statues have been painted, there are new shades being installed in all the classrooms in the Parish Center, and maintenance of our heating and cooling systems to keep things working properly.

Recently we installed a new digital telephone system which helps us to communicate between the offices in the rectory and the Religious Ed. office in the Parish Center. We also replaced the computers in the Rectory offices as well as Religious Ed.

Our maintenance team is very busy keeping our grounds and buildings clean. We try to keep our property appealing, attractive and a warm and welcoming environment for our staff and parishioners.

We have many volunteers helping us achieve our goals and dreams. Thank you to our men and women who are always here helping with mowing, flowers, cleaning, etc. In the past week, we collected all the metal scraps, aluminum, copper and steel, and received over $1,200 for recycling. This will pay for the gutter helmets and will save us from having to clean the gutters every year. Many thanks to the Holy Name members that helped us remove the scrap and haul it to recycling with their own vehicles.

There are so many things that take place in our parish and we appreciate all the work done by our faithful parishioners. We are proud of our staff members and all those who are taking part in St. Gabriel’s life. Once again, thank you all!

May the Lord bless you all.

You are in my heart and my prayers.

Yours, Fr. Walter
