St Colmcille’s Community School Adult Education Programme Cake Decorating and Sugar Craft Day and Time: Monday - 7:30-9:30pm Tuesday - 7:30-9:30pm Duration: 10 weeks Price: €125 Tutors: Deirdre Cruite Course Description Cake decoration uses icing and other edible decorative elements to make otherwise plain cakes more visually interesting. Cakes can also be moulded and sculpted to resemble three dimensional objects. Within weeks of commencing the course, students will be able to create professional-looking cakes for a range of occasions. Past students on this course have gone into the professional cake decorating business. This is a practical class. Class sizes are kept small to ensure that all students receive adequate instruction from the teacher. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Tutors will advice participants in advance of materials and equipment they need to bring to classes. These are example class breakdowns for courses that have been done in the past. Different projects are completed each year and Christmas and Halloween themed projects replace the Easter projects during the Autumn Term.
