Fr. Casey, Pastor and Fr. Bennett and Msgr. Liam will remain as the priests of the first collaborative. Fr. Madden, Pastor and Fr. Gerald Souza will be the priests of the second collaborative. As mentioned before, Fr. Madden is currently Pastor in Foxboro

and will begin his assignment here in South Boston on June 2, 2015 along with Fr. Souza. Fr. Souza, ordained in 2013, has been parochial vicar in a

collaborative parish in Billerica since his ordination. We welcome Fr. Madden and

Fr. Souza to South Boston. I know they are both looking forward to their ministry here. Please pray for the success of our Parish collaboratives as we go

Deceased Loved OnesDeceased Loved OnesDeceased Loved OnesDeceased Loved Ones As Christian disciples we are always trying to look for opportunities to carry out the love of

Christ within our parish and community. One of the corporal works of mercy is to provide a proper funeral Mass and burial for our

deceased brothers and sisters. Our parishes of Gate of Heaven and St. Brigid are currently in significant need

of parishioners of any age who would be willing to help serve funeral Masses. Funeral Masses typically begin

between 9:30-11:30am and your availability would be sought several days in advance, and they occur

Mondays through Saturdays. With setup, Mass, and clean up, each funeral would last for a total of an hour and a half. Training will be provided. Once trained, the serving is quite easy. Please consider helping the parish
