that things are good if they are good for me. ” - ( POPE FRANCIS @Pontifex )

Stations of Cross on Palm Sunday

are being led by children, please

come and support our children.

Due to the shortage of priests, Fr. Mike is running between parishes so please make allowances for him rushing away quickly /arriving few minutes late. This is likely to continue all through summer.

GOOD FRIDAY SPECIAL COLLECTION Throughout the world, a collection is taken on Good Friday for the maintenance of plac-es in the Holy Land. However, we have decided this year to replace it with a retiral bucket collection at the back of the church throughout Holy Week. This will be sent to SCIAF for emergency relief for the victims of cyclone IDAI that hit Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe. Over 843 are known to be dead with many more missing. Over 1.5 million Children are affect-ed. As flood water goes down, survivors struggle to obtain food, clean water and shel-ter. Let us share what the little we have as it will be far more than they can dream of.

We will also send a cheque from parish funds to the Diocese to cover our normal contri-bution to the Holy Places.

WEE BOX, BIG THANKS

Thank you to everyone in the parish who supported SCIAF’s Lenten Appeal.

Please return your WEE BOX as soon as you can, during Holy Week.

Thank you once again for your great generosity.

Wi shi ng y ou al l a j oy fu l Eas ter .

SHORTAGE OF PRIESTS. Our Diocese is beginning to be like many dioceses and is feeling the strain with the short-age of priests. As you are aware Fr. Mike has been coordinating Callander and Doune since last April. Both Fr. Mike and Fr. Brian have been helped by Fr. Willie and Fr. Joe but both of them are unavailable now until the winter season. At least 3 or 4 priests in July will be on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes and many priests take summer holidays. From July we will have 2 parishes without parish priests. At times we may be asked to be creative and adapt to some situations. It is good to remember how fortunate we are as elsewhere in around half of the Catholic Church throughout the world there are far less priests than are needed and therefore fewer masses for the Catholic populations.

READERS, EUCHRISTIC MINISTERS AND ALL INVOLVED IN THE HOLY WEEK

LITURGIES

Please check the list and make sure you are available for the service indicated for you. Please make that extra effort and collaborate by arriving 15 minutes early. This should help things run smoothly. Please be understanding and remember that Fr. Mike is celebrating the same liturgies in Doune. We do not plan to run late - quite the opposite - but be understand-ing if due to traffic or weather he arrives just a few minutes late.... Be careful he does not knock you down as he comes into the drive way with the brakes screeching!!!!

All during HOLY WEEK there will be a bucket at the back of the church for

donations towards the Disaster Emergency Appeal for the emergency relief

of the victims of cyclone Idai that hit Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Disaster

WATCH & PRAY: At the end of the Maundy Thursday liturgy the Blessed Sacrament will be in the main church until 10pm Groups are invited to come in and pray. There is a list at the back of the church. Please sign up. We should always have two people in the church.
