NOTES FROM THE PASTOR
Reflections for Trinity Sunday:
The catechism of the Catholic Church calls the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity the most important mystery of our faith.
Do we show enough awe for the greatness and the glory of this mystery? When we were helpless God saved us. Each
time we gather at Mass and each time we bless ourselves we are mindful of the role that the Trinity plays in our lives.
Each Sunday as we pray the Creed we are mindful of the role that the Trinity plays in our lives. God is always acting in
history and in our lives on behalf of us to strengthen the bond of love between God and us. God, the Blessed Trinity
three persons in one God is the perfect community of love. God is with us and for us. What God does is an extension of
who He is. By virtue of our Baptisms we have a wonderful opportunity to proclaim to the world how blessed we are. It is
God’s wish as expressed by Jesus that we take part in the mystery of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit empowers us to re-
ceive God’s love. We share in the mission of the Trinity through the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s love is revealed
through acts of love. We are destined to be with God forever. How do we invite others to believe?
SAVE THE DATE!
As you all know, Fr. Phil will be leaving in June. His last
Mass will be June 18th at 11:30. Please join us at his
final Mass, followed by a luncheon in Ward Hall.
Message from Fr. Phil:
Next weekend will be my last weekend here. Having been here for over fourteen years there are so many people I
wish to express my gratitude and give them thanks. I wish today to thank all of you who are my extended family and
have been such a major part of my life. Thank you for the way you received me as your pastor.
Fr. Derick Borek will be coming here next week and I believe you will really love him.
Thank you.
Catholic Appeal:
I am pleased to say thank you for the way you are respond-
ing to the Catholic Appeal. Cardinal Sean sent me a letter
last week asking me to express to you his gratefulness for
the way you have responded to the Catholic Appeal. We
have reached our goal and every future contribution this
year greatly blesses both the Archdiocese and the Parish.
Thank you.
Supporting people who advertise in our Bulletin:
The Church bulletin that we publish each week is one of the
ways we let you know what is going on in the life of the par-
ish. This is paid for by those who advertise in the bulletin
and I invite you to make use of their services and if you wish
please invite others to place adds in the bulletin.
Offertory Collection:
Please know of our appreciation and gratitude for the kind-
ness and generosity of so many who have maintained their
generosity to the Offertory Collection over the years. . You
are certainly helping to make many new possibilities. Thank
You.

Our Lady. It is going to be our second Fatima Day 2017.
This year’s theme is connected to the ANNIVERSARY
OF THE APPARITIONS OF OUR LADY AT FATIMA
(1917 – 2017). The main celebrant and homilist will be
Rev. Jonathan Gaspar, a diocesan priest of the Archdio-
cese of Boston. At present Fr. Jonathan serves as the
secretary to Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley, OFM Cap. The
evening begins with sing-along at 6:30pm; Mass at
7:00pm; Rosary and Candlelight procession at 8:00pm.
The evening will conclude with refreshments served in
the Shrine’s Hall. All are welcome!!!
Music News
Last weekend, our Youth Choir sang its final Youth Choir
Mass of this school year. Thank you to all Youth Choir
members for a wonderful year in our music minis-
try. Thank you to the Youth Choir parents for all of the
support throughout the year. And thank you to our con-
gregation, for all of your participation at Youth Choir
masses and your encouragement of our young people in
their ministry! Now that we are in a new liturgical season, we are re-
turning to our Mass of Renewal Gloria, which was intro-
duced last summer and which we sang through the fall
and winter leading up to Lent. We are also introducing
a new Holy Holy this week, which comes from the Mass
of Renewal as well. Did you know that we have been
doing the Mass of Christ the Savior Holy Holy for three
years? It is a good time to introduce another positive,
praising Holy Holy and I am excited to share it with St.
Bart’s. On Sunday, June 18th at 11:30 am, Father Phil will say
his last Mass at St. Bart’s. There will be a luncheon to
follow. Both the Adult Choir and the Youth Choir will be
providing the music for the Mass. We look forward to
lifting everyone in song for this Mass, and hope to have
everyone singing with us as we wish Father Phil well.

STEWARDSHIP: A WAY OF LIFE Sharing: Time Talent Treasure WORDS WORTH REMEMBERING PENTECOST: In a locked room He entered and said :”Peace be with you.” He showed them His wounds—His hands
and side. “As the Father has sent Me, so I send you. And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to
them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are re-
tained.” (John 20:19-23) Remember this is the same Holy Spirit that resided over the beginning of creation and all
events through the history of the world and our church and all the peoples, saints, prophets, Mary and all holy events
that have been preserved for our education and spiritual development. And still all He wants for us, each of us individu-
ally, is Peace and Love for Him and each other.. All else is secondary. “There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” Edith Wharton “Think of all the beauty still around you and be happy.” Anne Frank “The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.” Agatha Christie “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.” Mother Teresa “The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” William Faulkner “All things are possible until they are proved impossible-and even the impossible may only be so as of now.” Pearl
Buck Stewardship Questions: Kathy Reilly 781-444-0862 email: [email protected] If anyone needs a ride to a church service or wishes a home or Communion visit, please contact me.

Prayer in the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament
Presenter: Prof. Celia Sirois The instruction of the
Church in the Catechism teaches us that “the important
thing is to advance, with the Holy Spirit, along the one
way of prayer … to union with the Lord Jesus” (CCC
#2707-8). This short course will be an overview of that
journey, taking us from the prayer of Moses to that of
Jesus himself.

June 11 ~ The Most Holy Trinity, Solemnity
The Most Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and
God the Holy Spirit is a Mystery of our faith - not to solve,
but to believe and delight in. Three Persons in One God.
Most of us learned to make the Sign of the Cross at a very
early age. It is a simple but direct statement of belief in
the Trinity. On this Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity,
take a few moments to simply and thoughtfully pray: In the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of Holy Spirit.
Amen.
