We welcome Lizbeth into our faith and we pray that she will continue to grow in wis-dom and grace with the assistance of her

parents and our prayers.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

We are proud to announce that our first ESL program which was held for eight weeks this sum-mer in the months of June and July has just completed their program. Approximately 40 mem-bers of the community attended and participated in this program. We are most grateful to Janette, the coordinator of our ESL program and 11 of our parishioners who acted as teachers. We look forward to a wonderful new beginning in the fall of this year.

Because of the growing interest and success of this program, more instructors and assistants are welcomed to participate. Anyone interested in leading a class, mentoring or working one-on-one with learners will find this experience rewarding. This September new and continuing classes will begin.

If interested, please call Janette at 845-461-4640

sick, infirm, and elderly brothers and sisters in Christ.

A reminder – For anyone who is sick, their name will be announced from the pulpit for

four weeks and printed in the bulletin for four weeks following that. We ask that you let us

SAINT ANTHONY’S NANUET

St. Anthony School in Nanuet will host a "Pocketbook Bingo", on Thursday, October 20

Details will follow

Gluten Fee Hosts

Do you suffer from celiac disease and can’t receive the body of Christ at Sunday mass because the host is

made of gluten? The church has your solution. Like many gluten free prod-ucts on the market, there are com-munion hosts that are available to you that are almost 100% free of gluten. They are available to you

each Sunday. If you wish to receive holy communion with a gluten free

host, come to the sacristy and ask the priest, deacon or HS sacristan for a

gluten free host to be consecrated. It will be separated from all other hosts

and given to you separately in its own container (pyx). We hope this

announcement makes the sacrament of holy communion more available to

you in the coming months.

The Social Action Committee will be holding its annual summer blood drive on Sunday, August 21st, from 8:45 am until 1:30 pm. It is always

during the summer that available blood supplies are at a low point and donations are greatly

needed. Registration for this drive will be on Au-gust 13th and 14th before and after all Masses. Walk-ins are always welcomed. You may also register on-line. The drive will be held down-

stairs in the Zoeller Center.
