St. Anthony’s Church WELCOME TO OUR PARISH Parish Contact Informaon Faith Formaon Director: Faith Formaon Office: [email protected] Mercy Mondays While the Year of Mercy will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 20th, a number of people have asked that we continue this weekly Holy Hour on Monday nights from 6-7pm. Because of your interest and the spiritual blessings that have come from this time of prayer together, Fr. Steve will continue “Mercy Mondays” for our parish. However, they will not be held on Monday holidays and occasionally, confessions will not be available. It is our hope that more and more people will find in these Monday nights a powerful time of prayer, quiet and renewal before our Lord in the Eucharist. ANNUAL NEW HAT & MITTEN DRIVE! New hats and mittens will be collected at all Church doors until Sunday, Nov. 20th. These will be distributed with the Thanks- giving baskets for those families seeking help through St. Anthony’s Food Pantry. Infants, children, teens and adults appreciate your help. Sponsored by the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society. THE GIVING TREE Our Annual Christmas Giving tree project will collect and distribute new clothing for children -infants and teens. This charitable Christmas activity will help families requesting assis- tance through the St. Vincent de Paul Socie- ty. It will be set up with clothing requests the weekend after Thanksgiving (Nov. 26/27 ) until Dec. 18th. Because of unanticipated needs, some families wait to make their requests. Thank you for your kindness and charity.

NOVEMBER: MONTH OF ALL SOULS

A Remembrance Book of our faithful departed will be located near the Sanctuary and those inscribed will be remembered at each Mass during the month of November. Please feel free to include your loved ones in the book, which includes those who died this past year from our parish as well as the names on the All Souls envelopes.

MARIAN MEDAL We are pleased to announce that James Wilson is the recipi-ent of this year’s Marian Medal Award. Jim has been very involved in the St. Vincent de Paul Society of our parish, working tirelessly for those in need. In 1968 Bishop James L. Connolly established the tradition of recognizing men and women for their dedicated service in their parish community. Jim, along with other recipients from parishes throughout the diocese, will receive this special recognition from Bishop daCunha at a service marking the end of the Year of Mercy on Sunday, November 20th at 3pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fall River. Thank you, Jim, for your witness to service in our parish.

PRAYER LIST: Because of limited space, please in-form us when a name is to be removed from the list. New names are to be submitted by family members only. Thanks.
