call the Parish Office or visit stannecsg.com/sacraments.

May 3: Long-Term Care Seminar

Long-term care is care that nearly everyone needs at some

point in their life. If you are 21 or older, you need to be aware

of what long-term care is, why it’s important and how not

having it will affect you and your family for years to come.

Come to an educational workshop to go over this important

healthcare plan on Wed., May 3 at 5:45 p.m. in the Youth

Room. Register online to attend at stannecsg.com/events.

May 5: Altar Server Training and Pizza Party

Current altar servers & rising 4th-12th graders interested in

serving should attend an altar server training/refresher

course on Fri., May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Anne Church. After

training, youth will enjoy a pizza dinner in Visitation Hall until

7 p.m. Email Fr. Brian for more info: [email protected].

May 6: Medicare Seminar

Are you getting close to retirement age and have questions

about Medicare? Make plans to attend the “Insure Your

Future” seminar on Sat., May 6 at 10:30 a.m. in Visitation

Hall. Visit stannecsg.com/events to learn more about the

seminar and register to attend.

May 20: Ultreya

The next Ultreya for the tri-city Cursillo community will be

Sat., May 20 in Mother’s Grace Hall of St. Joseph’s Church in

Ft. Mitchell at 9 a.m. All Cursillistas and anyone interested in

learning more about Cursillo are encouraged to attend. Call

Bob Spano at 706-505-2068 for additional info.

Catechists Needed

There is no greater gift we can give to our children than our

faith. Parents are the first and foremost catechists for their

children. Our Religious Education programs assist parents in

this endeavor by teaching scripture, doctrines, beliefs and

traditions of the Catholic Church. We offer classes

September through May to children ages Pre-K through 8th

grades from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Our program has a number

of openings for people who wish to share their Catholic faith

with children. Please prayerfully consider joining this

rewarding ministry. For more info, contact Suzanne

Zimmermann in the Parish Office:

[email protected]/706-561-8678.

Spotlight on Stewardship

April 23, 2017 Stewardship Reflection “Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,

‘Peace be with you.’” John 20:19

Are you good at making people feel welcome? When you

meet someone new, a new neighbor, a new work

colleague, a new parishioner, do you make them feel at

home? Many of us can probably do a much better job at

this. When we make people feel welcome, we make

them feel like they are included instead of being

excluded. A simple “hello” and a smile goes a long way.

St. Anne Community Outreach St. Anne Community Outreach needs additional drivers to

help pick up bread and pastries from local grocery stores

on Monday mornings (8-9 a.m.) & evenings

(9:30-10:30 p.m.). If you can help, please contact

Outreach at 706-568-1592/[email protected].

Interested in other volunteer opportunities at Outreach?

From stocking inventory, to sorting clothes, the Center

needs your helping hands! Youth volunteer opportunities

exist, as well. Visit stannecsg.com/outreach for info.

Stewardship of Treasure

Apr. 16, 2017 In-Pew Offertory $39,919

Apr. 16, 2017 Online Offertory $4,060

2nd Collection for Priest Retirement Fund: $13,416

2017 Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) Parish Goal: $158,631

$49,860 (pledged); $50,650 (one-time payments);

215 family donors or 14.96% of parish families

This year the Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) is blessed to

have a very generous anonymous donor who will match

dollar for dollar any increase you will give this year in

your contribution beyond your contribution last year to

the BAA. If you have already made your pledge to this

year’s BAA and you have increased your gift, the increase

will be matched dollar for dollar. If you are a new

parishioner or a new donor to the BAA at St. Anne Parish,

your entire gift or fulfilled pledge over the course of this

year will be matched by an equal amount. This matching

gift is a tremendous blessing to our Diocese and should

help us at St. Anne Parish to reach our target of

$158,631. To take advantage of these matching funds,

your pledges and donations to the BAA for 2017 will

need to be made before Apr. 30, 2017.

experience fellowship, get answers to questions about

faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a

profound and personal way. Dinner is provided during the

meetings. Our next Youth Group meetings are this Sun.,

Apr. 23. Middle schoolers will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m.;

high schoolers will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Both groups

meet in Visitation Hall.
