Lauderdale. Senator Jeffares brings a wealth of government experience to Southern States Regional Center. In addition to currently serving as Georgia's 17th District Senator, Senator Jeffares has been named the Chairman of the State Institutions and Property; Vice Chair of the State and Local Government Operations Committee and also serves on the Government Oversight, Regulated Industries, Natural Resources and Veteran Affairs Committees along with Veterans, Military and Homeland Security. Senator Jeffares is the current Vice President of the Georgia Rural Water Association and is a board member of the North Metropolitan Water District; and is a member of the Water Pollution Control Federation and the American Water Works Association. Rick is also the owner of a successful business - J&T Environmental Services and works to preserve and protect water quality in communities across Georgia. Bruce Nicely is a Management Professional with a strong record of successful, comprehensive and progressive development experience. In 2011, Bruce founded Southern States Regional Center (SSRC) and has been serving as its Managing Partner. SSRC currently has $230 million in projects in its pipeline. Previously, he had 18 years experience in real estate development having completed projects in land development, residential and commercial construction projects in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.
