Did You Know: A Walk Through the Mass: The Final Blessing and Dismissal
Having received Holy Communion, we near the end of Mass as we receive the Final Blessing. At the beginning of the Mass, we made the Sign of the Cross and now we are blessed in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. We are blessed as we are commissioned to go forth and make the mysteries we have celebrated at Mass part and parcel of our lives as we live out the rest of the week.
In light of our call to be agents of the New Evangelization, we are charged to “Go and Announce the Gospel of the Lord.” We are strengthened by God’s Word and nourished by Christ’s Body and Blood to go out into the mission territory of our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces to share the message of the Gospel and the person of Jesus Christ with all those whom we encounter. The Mass ultimately sends us forth to be missionary disciples of the Lord to build up the Church, the Body of Christ.

Each summer our parish sends a group of high school students to the heart of West Virginia to engage in a week of service and prayer taking place in the Appalachian Mountains. Church League Volleyball Attention all young adults in their 20's and 30's. Are you interested in meeting other young adults from our parish and friendly competition against other area churches? Consider joining our parishes Young Adult Church League Volleyball Team. Our season will go from January 10 until March 6. We play Friday evenings at the West middle school big gym. Como católicos, creemos que la Eucaristía es la Presencia de
Cristo-Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma, Divinidad. ¡La adoración es Dios y
Tú extendiéndose el uno al otro, al mismo tiempo! Es un tiempo
de silencio y paz de orar ante nuestro Señor. La noche antes de
su crucifixión, Jesús le preguntó a Pedro: "¿Entonces no podrías
vigilarme durante una hora?" ¡Dios te ama y te bendecirá abun-
dantemente! "Ven a mí y te refrescaré." Jesús nos espera en el
Santísimo Sacramento. Él espera a nuestros pequeños actos de
fe, de adoración, de amor, de Acción de Gracias, el
arrepentimiento y la reparación que podemos of-
recerle como contemplamos Su Majestad Divina.
Por favor, regístrese para pasar una Hora Santa sem-
anal con Jesús. Necesitamos adoradores programa-
dos para que otros puedan venir para una breve visi-
ta. Las necesidades en este momento son las siguien-
