SRC Interactive course

In association with:Protecting your Rights, Promoting your Interests1RYA Interactive overview:

Protecting your Rights, Promoting your InterestsThe RYA Interactive website is a tool for delivering, monitoring and supporting training and assessments. It is built on a learning management system and is used by RYA training centres, youth squads, coaches and the RYA Training department. For Rya training centres a self branded area is available to host the courses designed by RYA training. Currently Essential Navigation and Seamanship, PPR and shortly to be SRC.Its a platform to enable you to deliver the training.Courses are bought from a centre, just as any other course, The centre then creates an account for the student and enrols them into the appropriate course. There is then a fee charged to the centre for each student registered on a course. Currently 15 per student for ENDS. SRC to follow this route.Lets look at how easy it is to creat a student sccount and enrol tem onto a course

8Sample of courseA few short videos..Protecting your Rights, Promoting your InterestsAs the instruction and assessment of the interactive course is is set by the course itself, an assessor may act as support tutor for online learning for a student they assess proivided no face to face instruction takes place.Suggest leaving the course to give a sample of the course simulation, however here is a short video if youd rather not!If you use the simulator I would suggest Urgency and safety simulation for distress relay (screen 20) and then the securitay on page 24 as an example of a guided learning with the highlights coming up when they get it wrong or do nothing.

9Simple simulator

Protecting your Rights, Promoting your InterestsThe course needs to be completed to get the course completion certificate, however there will be sandbox area, which is geek-speak for an area for people to play/practice. Essentially a group of simulations for them to practice practical radio. This could be missed if a student was sld a mix of a online course (full course) followed by a few hours coaching in the classroom.12Certificate and unique number

Protecting your Rights, Promoting your InterestsThere is an end of course test it is not the written test for the SRC certifcate proper, but a mock test to judge their readiness for the exam.Assuming successful they download a certificate with genreated unique number. This can be checked by the RYA. This is entered by the student on the exam application form.Exam form in the pack has this section13Recognition
