NAfME All-Northwest 2017 Voice Audition Materials

We are pleased to introduce our new audition materials for grades 9-12. These materials must be used to be considered for the 2017

NAfME All-Northwest Mixed Choir and Treble Choir. Please be sure you use these materials labeled “Set B.” Do not use former year All-Northwest audition materials. For 2017, we will also add an OPTIONAL four measure sight-singing exercise. Our screeners will not factor the sight-singing track into their final ranking of applicants leading toward group placement. The sight-singing exercise will be revealed at the time of application/audition upload. The student’s performance of the sight-singing exercise will be recorded live on the website at that time. There will be an opportunity to practice a sample, as well as a 45 second preview period prior to actual recording of the exercise.

In total there are five separate required tracks:Track 1: Major ScaleTrack 2: Major ScaleTrack 3: Chromatic ExerciseTrack 4: America the BeautifulTrack 5: OPTIONAL four measure sight-singing exercise

Please network with fellow teachers of grades 9-12 to help us spread the word of these new audition material requirements.

This is not the application packet. These materials are being provided now for preparation purposes. The entire application packet will be available online September 1 at www.nafmenw.org, with the deadline in early October.
