Scope

The SPW600 and SPW600e casement window has beendesigned to meet current building regulations. This is a threechamber 75mm polyamide window system that achievesimpressive thermal performance. It is capable of acceptingglazing up to 56mm thick depending on weight.

SPW600eThis system is an evolution of SPW600 and has been furtherimproved by the introduction of polystyrene and backer rodinserts. A wide range of sections and ironmongery allows thewindow system to be versatile and used in a wide range ofapplications.

Materials

• All aluminium sections are extruded using Aluminium Alloy6060 or 6063 T6 to BS EN 755 part 9 2008.

• Polyamide thermal barriers are manufactured in accordancewith PA66 GF25.

• Gaskets are manufactured in accordance with BS3734.

Finishes

SPW600 and SPW600e casement windows sections areavailable typically in 3 finishes.

• Polyester Powder Coating to BS EN 12206: 2004 Part 1 -painted in house in single or dual colour and surface finishat 40 microns standard, or enhanced to 60 microns formarine environments, in accordance with ISO9001,ISO14001 and ISO18001.

• Anodised and Anolok finishes are to BS3897: 1991 to aminimum of 25 microns (AA25), supplied in either satin orpolished finish in a limited range of colours.

• Mill finish.

Construction

Both SPW600 and SPW600e are constructed using mitredcorners, joined with crimped or mechanical cleats; alignmentchevrons assist in clean, accurate mitres. Integral transomsand mullions are scribed around the outer frames and fixedwith either screw ports or shear blocks. A proprietary sealantis used on all metal joints in line with good practice.
