Planning to Fly?If you are planning to fly after September

30, 2020, you will need a “REAL ID” driver’s license or an accepted government compliant source of identification. Therefore, beginning October 1, 2020, a standard driver’s license will no longer be accepted when boarding a flight. Passed by Congress in 2005 as a recommendation from the 9/11 Commission, the Department of Homeland Security will now require the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to begin enforcing the new and more stringent standards. Passports will work in place of a “Real ID” drivers license, along with several other forms of identification which can be found on the (TSA) website – www.tsa.gov. SignaTours recommends taking the extra step of getting a “REAL-ID” when renewing your driver’s license. The DMV website – www.dmv.gov is also a great resource to help with items you will need to get your new “REAL ID” license.

Reflections by David DavenportA friend of mine recently posted a quote

to my personal Facebook page, and it read “When something good happens, travel to celebrate. When something bad happens, travel to forget it. If nothing happens, travel to make something happen.” I couldn’t agree more! Life is short and nothing in life is guaranteed, so I firmly believe we should all live life to its fullest. How… you might ask? Medical studies show that there is nothing more rewarding to your health, along with diet and exercise, than to travel and participate in life rewarding experiences with friends and family! These adventures help us grow, heal and reward ourselves with benefits doctors can’t prescribe.

My most recent travels took me to Southern California with my wife, Laura, and one of our “Touch of Class” groups. We were on tour to see the Tournament of Roses Parade and to celebrate the arrival of another New Year! Incidentally, the group we were traveling with was great! We all had a terrific time getting to know each other and sharing in this wonderful

experience. Having never been to Southern California, I really didn’t know what to expect, but I can assure you I wasn’t disappointed. In less than a ten-minute drive, the landscape outside our motorcoach windows was one of magnificent beauty. And in the span of a few short hours, we were able to see the majestic beauty of the snow-capped Angeles National Forest Mountain Range before feeling the sands between our toes at Seal Beach on the California Pacific Coast shoreline. Amongst all this beauty, we visited or participated in… Tours of Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Ronald Reagan Museum, Catalina Island, Floral Float Decorating, Rose Parade, New Year’s Festivities, Warner Brothers Studios, and more! If that wasn’t enough, we finished the tour with a Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the “Wild Goose,” a beautiful yacht formerly owned by John Wayne! This is one of those tours you could take year after year and still be excited to go again! I extend an invitation for anyone and everyone to join Laura and myself for this year’s Tournament of Roses festivities! I’m sure it’s the perfect “prescription” for a happier and healthier you! Lastly, I’ll end this with my favorite tour quote, “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.”

North Carolina’s State Parks. At Merchant Millpond State Park, find massive bald cypress trees, beech groves, Spanish moss and exotic wildlife. Enjoy a Ranger Lecture in the Visitor Center followed by a short walk along the Cypress Point Trail for a scenic view of the pond. Spend the afternoon at Dismal Swamp State Park for a ranger led Wagon Ride into the park. Learn some intriguing Swamp history along the way and take in the flora and fauna that make this a unique and remarkable place to visit. After the wagon trip, there will be time to explore the Visitor Center and see a short film about the park and Dismal Swamp Canal. “Ghost” and Haunted FredericksburgFredericksburg, VAWednesday – August 5, 2020

Riverside Center for the Performing Arts presents the timeless fantasy about the power of love. Ghost the Musical is based on the romantic film from 1990 starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Walking back to their apartment one night, Sam and Molly are mugged, leaving Sam murdered on a dark street. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and unable to leave Molly who he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving and protecting her. It’s a modern production with book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin; music by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. Plated lunch with your choice of entrée is served before the show. We guarantee properties used are: clean, modern, convenient, safe and operated by industry professionals. Rooms are non-smoking unless otherwise requested.

Luggage and Handling: SignaTours, Ltd.

allows “one large bag” per person, and one small carry-on that fits easily under the seat or in the overhead compartment. Carry-on bags are considered the responsibility of the passenger. Once you arrive at the departure
