Map to Havana Nights at Lakehills Church

¡ !Bienvenido a Havana Welcome everyone, to our Havana Nights Auc-tion, a night of fun and fabulous prizes all to benefit our school! As an independent Waldorf school, tuition alone does not cover all of our operating expenses, making this Auction vital to our success. Our Auction provides invalu-able support to our Faculty, students and pro-grams, bringing inspired Waldorf education to El Dorado County.

This event would not be possible without our amazing volunteer team, the support of our

community, the generous donors, sponsors and guests. Thank you all for helping to make this event a night to remember!

We’ve all worked hard and now it is time for the fiesta! Enjoy the party and bid to support our school. Muchas gracias, Sharyn Mairani, 2014 Auction Chair

400 PRIVATE WINE TASTING, FOOD PAIRING AND TOUR AT CANTIGA WINEWORKS Come enjoy a private tasting with winemaker and CSWS dad, Rich Rorden, in the cellar and gardens of Cantiga Wineworks! Cantiga crafts natural, low-sulfite, non-malolactic wines that are highly sought after by health minded wine lovers, particularly those with sensitivities or allergies. The wines are made in a clas-sic European style for the dinner table and food pairing is a Can-tiga specialty. You will taste barrel samples and current releases, paired with an exquisite array of gourmet tapas (small plates) prepared by co-owner, Christine Rorden. End the day with a sunset stroll through the vineyard, wine glass in hand. Cantiga rarely offers cellar tours, so this is a rare opportunity to get a backstage glimpse into a unique winemaking operation. Cantiga Wineworks is located in Somerset, within the Fair Play Appella-tion. Event will be held Friday, May 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. (Rain date: June 6 - same time.) Must be 21 years or older to at-tend! Up to twelve participants. Avoid Long Lines at Check- Out with Auctionpay

As was the case in prior years, at this year’s Auction we will be using a system called Auctionpay. Auctionpay is an easy-to-use credit card processing system that streamlines the guest registration and check-out process. Most importantly, Auc-tionpay helps streamline the Auction experience for guests and volunteers. Guests are encouraged to use Auctionpay because they will arrive happy and leave happy, knowing that they do not have to stand in long check-out lines. Here’s how it works: At check-in, if guests plan to use a credit card to pay for their

purchases, including drinks and raffle tickets, it will be swiped at this time. It’s just like checking into a hotel.

If you do not wish to purchase items with a credit card, we

will honor all checks and cash beginning at 10 pm. If you need to leave before 10 pm, please pay using Auctionpay or arrange to have a friend pay for your items.

With Auctionpay, the guest signs a receipt and receives a

copy, eliminating the need to see the cashier at the end of the event.

Auctionpay guests may proceed directly to check-out and bag-

ging following the Live Auction to pick up their items. For cash and check guests, you will need to pick up your bid sheets and pay for your items beginning at 10 pm.

A receipt listing your total purchases for the evening will be

mailed to you seven to ten days after the Auction.

New air conditioning units with installation (yes, that means no work party!):…………………………………………………. $8,000 (approx)

New desks and chairs, professionally pre-cut (about 40 desks and chairs): ……………………………………………………… $6,000 (approx)

Professional Development of Faculty/Staff (training/classes, speakers/evaluators):…………………………………………… $6,000 (approx)

Fund-a-Need Goal $20,000

Any amount we raise over our $20,000 goal will go directly to making more desks and chairs. Due to our lower enrollment this year, CSWS could really use these extra funds to pay for these necessary expenses.

Please raise your paddles HIGH and support our

school, teachers and children!

Raise your paddles this year for new air con-ditioning units, new desks and chairs, and professional development for our Faculty!

The Fund-a-Need portion of our Live Auc-tion this year will be raising money to re-place the air conditioning in the White Feather Building, build new desks and chairs for our students and support our Faculty’s and Staff’s professional de-velopment. These are all vital to our school’s health and improvement and we invite everyone to contribute toward this fund.

Anyone can contribute to this year’s Fund-a-Need, whether you are at-tending the Auction or not through Absentee Bidding. Absentee bid-ders can contribute the amount of their choice to this fund which will greatly benefit our school.

Collectively, here’s what your contributions will do for

Cedar Springs in 2014-2015:
