CASE STUDY

High School washroomrefurbishment

This High School tendered their project with an output specification, not an input specification. This means thatthey stated the desired final result, not a detailed specification of what they wanted item by item. This meant thateach of the companies tendered put forward different proposals that they believed best suited the outputspecification in terms of required durability, price, colour ranges, suitability, etc...We were successful in being awarded the tender for a number of key factors in our winning design.All the childrens cubicles had fully panelled walls from floor to ceiling with a laminated wall board in a matchingtheme to the cubicle panels, the colour themes were chosen by children on the school council. The teacherstoilets, in contrast had hygieniclad up to 1200mm high and was decorated above. This met the criteria of beingvery robust in the childrens areas with no visible pipework as all plumbing was concealed behind the wall boards,yet in the teachers toilets it was a lower priced option not expected to get the same level of abuse, but still attractiveand clinical with a very low maintenance program required. The toilets, basins and urinals were all concealed pipework and controls were left to a minimum; non-concussivetaps (so they couldnt be left running), auto flush systems on the urinals and robust levers on the toilets. All the ventilation system was concealed behind the duct panels with the grilles surface fixed above the toiletswhich is the most effective place for it and virtually indestructible.

Only the highest quality materials are used in theSpa range - suitable for prisons, hospitals, highschools and other areas of heavy duty wear.
