The WHNPA Ethics Rules
No element should be digitally added to orsubtracted from any photograph and the image
must be a truthful representation of whateverhappened in front of the camera during
exposure. Retouching to eliminate dust andscratches is acceptable. Reasonableadjustments in Photoshop are acceptable. These
include cropping, dodging and burning,
conversion into grayscale, and normal toningand color adjustments that restore the authenticnature of the photograph.
