April 1 is April Fool’s Day. On this

day, people play pranks and jokes

on their friends and family mem-

bers. April Fool’s Day started in

the early 1500s. The origins of

April Fool’s Day are unknown. But

here is an idea.

One theory is that it

started from the holiday called

Hilaria. Hilaria is a holiday cele-

brating the “resurrection” of Attis. They celebrated this holiday

with dancing, playing jokes, and putting on masks.

SPRING IS HERE!

Spring is here, But what will we

wear? Short sleeves,

And short weaves Blue jeans, And capris Spring will be sultry, Our clothes will make

color poetry. When it all ends,

I’ll be doing summer fashion trends.

TROLL FELL

Troll Fell was written by Kathe-

rine Langrish. This book is about

a boy named Peer. He is forced to live with his evil

twin uncles after his father’s death. He finds out

about his uncles’ plan to sell the neighbors’ children

to trolls and tries to stop them.

I think this is a nice book because it is full of sur-

prises and adventures. My favorite character is

Hilde because she is funny. My favorite part of

this book was when Hilde hit the trolls in the head

with a long stick and they vanished into the ground.

People who like adventures will like this book. It is

full of surprises. This is a book you shouldn’t miss!

School uniforms should not be re-

quired. I personally don’t like uni-

forms. I think that it’s not fair to re-

quire uniforms. They restrict

your personality. They’re a

waste of money. For example, if

your parents buy you new

clothes before the school year

and you don’t get to wear them

that much, and by the time

summer is here, they will be too

small. Then, they will have wasted

money. That is why school uniforms

should not be required.

On June 16, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. both 6th grade classes will be graduat-ing so they will go to 7th grade, and they will all be happy because they are leaving this school. However,

they will also be sad because they are leaving their friends but some people will see their friends again. This school has memories of our elementary school years but now we have a fresh new start at another school. So goodbye Samuel Gompers, I’ll visit you soon.

tant because it helps

Music Month also might make people try a different
