What a year we have planned! Lots of things going on around Towne that you will not want to miss out on!

We’ve made a New Years Resolution to have an online Point Of Sale (POS) system available to allow us to better serve you, our customers and friends. I am happy to share that we have it up and running, and fully functional. What does that mean for you? You can now sign up and register for any Thimble Towne class, event, workshop, or retreat, from the com-fort of your pjs and without ever leaving your home because you can do so right from the shop website! Our ultimate goal is to have our online store up and running before the years end! How exciting!

Speaking of registering for events. There are still a few spots left for The Central California Quilt & Sew Retreat headlined by Jennie Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Company! In just the few weeks since registration has opened we are now at 80% full! Be sure to visit the shop web-site to find out more information and sign up!

Be sure to save the date and make it a point to come join us for the 7th annual Heart Of The Valley Quilt Shop Hop! Eight great shops are coming together to bring you the valleys ultimate quilt run! If you can’t make the whole run at least plan to come see us and pick up your goodie bag and be part of all the fun we will be having!

If you can’t make it into Towne then we will bring us to you, we will be joining the members of The Cottonpatch Quilt Guild in February for their bi-annual quilt show and then we will be spending a few days in Lindsay at The Best Of The Valley Quilt Show! Beginning Quilting 101: Just Can’t Cut It This class is designed to teach you quilting from square one. Learn to properly cut fabric using rotary cutters, master the ¼” seam and piece together your first quilt top. This class will teach you the basics necessary to move forward on your quilting adventure.

Beginning Quilting 102: Simple Sampler Quilt You’ve graduated from BQ: 101 and now its time to take the next step in your quilting education! Create this gorgeous sampler quilt while learning a variety of quilting techniques. This pattern will teach you how to make; half square triangles, flying geese, quarter square triangles, strip piecing and more!

Lacuna Sampler The Lacuna Sampler Quilt Pattern is based of 14 inch colorful Cheyenne blocks. It's a great place to try some new skills. They are basics - the pinwheel, hourglass, star, diamond-in-the-square, cross, framed square. Great classics for everyone to learn and the pattern is fat quar-ter friendly! Radiant This fat quarter friendly quilt comes together in a synch! All you’ll need is a light and a dark accent to set the stage for a wonderful quilt. You can use a nice selection of colors or keep it simple with just a few. Each quilt will be unique and just as stunning! Table Runner Club with Barbara Barbara is continuing her popular table runner club! Each month we will complete a different table runner that will teach you some new and fun techniques! Prickly Pinecones This pattern is the first design in Judy’s collection of patterns to teach one of her latest innovative techniques, the basted registration point. Designed to mimic pinecones, this gorgeous skirt will give you a nice woodsy feel for your tree! Island Sunrise This fun paper piecing project is perfect for newer piecers as you start out on your paper piecing journey! Art Class Collage As requested, the ever popular collage patterns by Laura Heine, are being offered here at Thimble Towne! Choose from an assortment of her patterns, which we’ll carry, and let your imagination soar as you create a fabric collage masterpiece that is uniquely yours! Stacking Fat Quarter Pop-Ups These adorable little pop-ups are fat quarter friendly and come together fast! The special spring coil inside, similar to a folding laundry basket, allows these little pop ups to stand up and fold down with ease. Flying To Pieces Zippered Pouches These in-the-hoop zipper pouches are PERFECT for organizing all those small items and would make a great gift for that hard to buy for person on your list! This great quilt from Jaybird Quilts uses a 60 degree ruler which many of you own already! Using small

and large triangles they add more movement to the flow of this quilt. This quilt comes together with

ease and you will be amazed at how easy it is!

Cameo Basics

Learn the “ins and outs” to your brand new cameo. We will go over how to ensure your soft-

ware is installed properly, how to prep cut files, and navigate the silhouette studio software!

Magic Stack-N-Whack

Working with medium to large scale prints, you will create dynamic pieced blocks without hours of

planning and precision cutting. Using the stack-n-whack’r method, the kaleidoscope effects occur

Using your embroidery machine you will make these awesome key fobs, completely in-the-hoop!

Destiny Training Classes BABY LOCK DESTINY TRAINING SERIES

These training sessions have been set up exclusively for Baby Lock Destiny owners who have purchased their machines from Thimble Towne. Two separate training series have been set to accommo-date as many people as possible. Due to the demand, we ask that you sign up to reserve your spot for each class. You can do so by calling the shop or coming in person. These will be on a first come first serve basis and space is very limited.

**YOU MUST RSVP IN ORDER TO ATTEND EACH TRAINING CLASS** Destiny Training #1: 1/20 (6pm - 8pm) -OR- 4/13 (10am - 12noon) Get to know your machine. This class is designed to cover the key sewing features of your machine. We will go over the “ins and outs” of your machine, including the basic maintenance and up keep needed in order to make sure your machine is running at its best.

Destiny Training #2: 2/3 (6pm - 8pm) -OR- 4/20 (10am - 12noon) This class will cover the advanced sewing features of your machine. Destiny Training #3: 3/2 (6pm - 8pm) -OR- 4/27 (10am - 12noon) Begin to learn and understand the basic embroidery functions of your machine. Learn about your new hoops and how they will work with your machine depending on the job you are doing.

Destiny Training #4: 3/9 (6pm - 8pm) -OR- T.B.D. (10am - 12noon) Explore and learn the advanced embroidery functions of your machine. Dig in and learn the IQ design scanning functions of your machine and how to set up your IQ designer for perfect digitizing!

2016 Baby Lock Training Classes BABY LOCK TRAINING SERIES

One of the key benefits of owning a Baby lock Sewing Machine, Embroidery Machine, Serger, or Quilting Machine is the ongoing training Thimble Towne offers. Beginning in 2014 we will be offering weekly clas-ses to make sure you are getting the most from your Baby lock machine. Training is broken down into sev-eral components. We will be offering a 5 part training series that will focus on several of the features your machine(s) offer in order to make sure you get the most out of your Baby lock. As always, because you bought your machine with us here at Thimble Towne, all of your continuing educations will always be FREE! Baby lock #1: 1/20 (10am - 12noon) -OR- 4/13 (6pm - 8pm) Get to know your machine. This class is designed to cover the key features of all sewing and embroidery machines (excludes multi needle embroidery and sergers.) We will go over the “ins and outs” of your machine, including the basic maintenance and up keep needed in order to make sure your machine is running at its best. Baby lock #2: 2/3 (10am - 12noon) -OR- 4/20 (6pm - 8pm) Your machine comes with its own selection of feet; some you may already know how to use and others may be a little foreign. This class will cover the different presser feet available to you and how to use them taking away all the guess work. Baby lock #3: 3/2 (10am - 12noon) -OR- 4/27 (6pm - 8pm) This class will cover advanced sewing features of your new machine! With this knowledge you will be comfortable enough to use some of the many features on your machine to create some amazing projects! Baby lock #4 Embroidery: 3/9 (10am - 12noon) -OR- T.B.D. (6pm - 8pm)

For those of you who have an embroidery machine classes #4 is for you! Here we will cover the basics of

your embroidery machine, hoops, and the transferring of designs. We will also touch on embroidery place-

ment, the key to successful embroidery.
