AY 2019
WelcomeCottonwood Family,
After an amazing year at Cottonwood Creek in 2018, it’s time for a brand new start in 2019. There is so much to look forward to over the upcoming months and this Spring Guide is your go-to source for information on all that our ministries offer.
The new year will kick off with DNOW for our Student Ministry. Our Women’s Ministry has an exciting Bible Study Kick-Off event for the spring Bible studies and our Men’s Ministry will be having its annual skip trip in Colorado. For those looking for a way to get involved in community, they can stop by our annual Taste of Cottonwood event and for those planning to get married, our spring Before We Say I Do course kicks off as well. All of these are just a few of the exciting things in store for the spring!
We can’t wait to see what else the spring will hold for Cottonwood Creek Church. Thank you for being a part of the Cottonwood Family. Here’s to a new chapter in the life of Cottonwood Creek as 2019 begins.
Blessings,
John Mark & Jeana Caton

COTTONWOOD CREEK CHURCH
VISIT A LIFE OR HOME GROUP
2 Community is crucial to the body of Christ. As the body of Christ, we are called to be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1 John 1:7 tells us, “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” Cottonwood Creek encourages and invites you to be a part of our Life Groups and Home Groups.
Life Groups meet on Saturday night and Sunday mornings. Each group is composed of people in the same walks
of life, from newlyweds and young married couples with children, to empty nesters. Home Groups are essentially the same thing as Life Groups, but they meet throughout the week in church members’ homes. These groups are specifically intentional with having accountability with one another and drawing close to one another outside of the church walls.
To get involved with a Life Group or Home Group, visit cottonwoodcreek.org/groups or text GROUPS to 77978.

live out faith in actions that take place
on the local, national, and international

it is a lifestyle we all should embrace.

Faith@HomeAll Ages + Stages
Faith@Home is a quest for authentic faith. A faith that is lived out in our daily
activities, is modeled in our homes and communities, and passed down to the
next generation. At Cottonwood Creek, we want to come alongside and help you
on your faith journey. We believe that true “Authentic Faith” is one that thrives
both inside and outside the walls of the church building. It is not something that
can be compartmentalized or only demonstrated on Sunday mornings.
Resources are available for every stage of life online or at the Faith@Home Wall
in the Lobby.

SPRING GUIDE 2019
SERVE WITH YOUR CHURCH FAMILY
As followers of God, it is our duty to serve the Lord’s Kingdom. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and to pursue to serve the way He served when He walked the earth all those years ago. At Cottonwood Creek, there are endless possibilities for just that! Whether you are helping lead worship for Creek Kids, spending time and ministering with our Creek Student Ministry, joining the Senior Adult Ministry for a JOYUS luncheon, participating in mission trips with our On Mission team, leading a Life Group, or raising your voice to the Lord in a Worship service, there are so many ways to embrace your inner servant’s heart and serve with the Cottonwood Family.
The Connections Ministry is always looking for people to join our ministry team. Greeters, Welcome Center Hosts, Parking Hosts, and Online Ministry Hosts are places to get involved in serving. No experience necessary. Training provided. Please send an email to [email protected] for more information.

INVITE FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS ANDSTRANGERS
The Cottonwood Family is made up of people from all walks of life. The one thing that we have in common though is that we all trust that Jesus Christ is the Savior of our lives. We love God and love others.
Sometimes, it can be intimidating when you invite someone to church. However, it doesn’t have to be! Cottonwood Creek offers many events throughout the year that are open to anyone and everyone. If you know of a family with teenagers, invite them to DNOW or if you know a married couple, invite them to one of the Marriage Ministry events. If you know a single person, invite them to go to Worship Service and Life Group with you. This is a perfect opportunity for them to meet new people and get plugged into a great community.
Stop by the Connect Wall on Saturdays and Sundays for more information on getting connected at Cottonwood Creek.
