Principals Message: Happy Spring Carrigan Families! I know so many of us are very thankful that the snow is out of sight, warmer temperatures are more consistent, and the days are filled with more hours of sunlight! It feels great to get outside and breathe in some fresh air! April starts our Spring Testing Schedule. Students will start with the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC). This test lets students show what they know in ELA and Math. Everything that the students have been taught this year (and past years) have helped prepare them for this test, but more so have given them skills to use outside of school as well as for the rest of their lives. Here are some tips to help our students do the best they can! Promote a positive mind set! Let your child (children) know that he/ she has what it takes to do well and to always try his/her best. They may not know every answer, but they will know many and we want them to answer as many correctly as they can! Go to bed early and get enough sleep. Eat a good breakfast at home or school. Use the taught skills that their teachers use on a daily basis. All of those mentioned tips will certainly help and we thank you for your assistance! As always, please reach out to your childs teacher, Mr. Weber, or myself if we can help in any way.
