A How-to Guide for Georgia Teachers Spring 2016 Power Up for 30 - Walk Georgia Contest Step 1: Register for Walk Georgia Step 2: Create your Class Group 1. Go to the Walk Georgia homepage: www.walkgeorgia.org, click on the green ‘Create an Account’ button and fill out your information. Step 3: Log your class’ physical activity 1. Once you've logged into your new account, go to the "My Groups" page located in the light grey navigation bar at the top of the page. 2. Click on the green "+ Create a Group" button at the top 3. Choose the "Create School Group" option, then the "Create Class Group" option. 4. Enter "Class Name" as "PU30 / Teacher's Name". For example:"PU30 / Ms. Thompson" 5. Enter "Group Description" as "Your School's Name / Your Grade. For example: "Chase Street Elementary / Third Grade" 1. To log activity for your entire class, you'll need to use the "group logging" option, which is the default option for school groups, so first ensure it is enabled. Group logging is enabled when the oval button underneath "Group Activity" is green and says "Group Logging Is Currently On". If it is disabled, the button will be blue and say "Individual Logging Is Currently On". In this case, click the button and then click "Switch to Log for Group". How to Sign-Up: Contest Rules: 1: Participating Classrooms must register by January 14th. 2: Official contest dates are from January 15th - February 15th. 3: All classroom activity must be logged by February 15th at 11:59 p.m. 4: Winners will be notified on February 16th at 10 a.m. 6.Set your visibility to "Public" and click "Done"! Prizes: The classroom with the most activity time will win First Place. Prizes include fun prize packs and classroom recognition at the Walk Georgia Night at the Hawks game on February 20th*! *Discounted tickets available at www.walkgeorgia.org/events 2. Enter your classroom's activity each day by clicking on the green "Log an Activity" Button. Select your activity and fill out the form. Second and Third Place prizes will also be awarded to classrooms who show outstanding progress! First Place Prize Pack Includes: Classroom Kit the winning classroom will receive 30 grocery tote bags from Georgia Shape each containing a pair of socks, pencil, bookmark, light-up bouncy ball, water bottle, notebook, & slap bracelet along with shoelaces, blinky safety lights, jump rope, sunglasses & silicone bracelets from Walk Georgia. The classroom will also receive one yoga ball & one yoga mat! Teacher Kit each teacher will receive a lunch bag, phone case, fanny pack, pen, power up phone charger, & grocery tote from Georgia Shape in addition to a personal yoga mat, gym bag, water bottle, resistance band, fandana, salad shaker set, lip balm/sunscreen stick, & sticky note pads from Walk Georgia. 3. Spring 2016 Power Up for 30 - Walk Georgia Contest

Step 1: Register for Walk Georgia
