THE INSIDE STORY

Our Story begins from the inside out. At Huntington Industries, we use the gold standard of Bio-Soybean based foam to cushion every piece of furniture. In the past, foam products were made solely from petrochemicals. We have succeeded in changing the environmental picture of furniture manufacturing by incorporating Bio-Soybean based foam.

Huntington Industries uses padding made of fiber from recycled plastic bottles, for both the body of the sofa and wrapping of the cushions. This padding is mold and mildew resistant, as well as, hypoallergenic.

Our wood products come from Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) certified forests in Southern Oregon and Northern California. These forests are managed for the sustainable production of forest products, which maintains a healthy forest eco-system. These forests consist of Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, Incense Cedar, Sugar Pine and Grand Fir. When trees are thinned to provide space for growth, they are spared from landfills and transformed into the wood used for the frame of your furniture.

Our fabric collection consists of textiles made from yarn created from the by-product of recycled plastic bottles and dyes produced from non-petrochemical products. We offer the most popular weaves in the industry: velvets, microfibers, corduroys and linens.

Huntington Industries uses recycled steel products as well. Up to eighty percent of the metal content of the sinuous springs used in our seating consists of recycled steel. Steel technology has advanced rapidly in recent years to include reduced energy consumption and reduced carbon dioxide emissions. We collaborate extensively with steel companies who share our concern for the planet.

Huntington Industries minimizes waste by using recycled cardboard and plastic when packaging our furniture for shipment. We encourage our customers to partner with us in our quest to be environmentally proactive by recycling the packaging of their new furniture once it’s set up in their home.

Huntington Industries’ manufacturing facility is located in Southern California and operates on over 100,000-sq. ft. of property. 100% of our products are Made in the USA, onsite at our facility. This reduces shipping time and cost, in addition to giving us complete control over the quality of our product.
