To help with that prosperity, my office will be implementing

some communications’ changes to further benefit you:

We are launching an intelligent website to let you know about

the MOST important events in the 21st Ward. We will be

providing you updates, along with relevant resources, 24

hours a day and 7 days a week. You will be able to access

The new website will allow you to COMMENT on what is

happening in the 21st Ward, give your concerns a VOICE,

SEE what your neighbors are saying, and allow you to

Alderman Brookins’ turkey drive delivers Thanksgiving blessings and Christmas cheer to needy families

Alderman Brookins’ office arranged for several hundred

needy families to experience Christmas joy this season.

From partnering with local businesses, Alderman Brookins’

office delivered hundreds of turkeys to needy families, senior

centers, and Church outreach groups. As a result, people

who may have been running low on hope received some

much needed Christmas cheer; and, they enjoyed a Happier

Thanksgiving and even Merrier Christmas.

The following businesses made this reality possible. Support

the businesses that make our neighborhood a better place.

50 people hired at the 21st Ward Job Fair Alderman Brookins

strives to create jobs for

the 21st Ward residents.

To that end, a job fair was

held at the Aldermanic

office on December 3rd.

The Jamal Group, - a

company who will be

opening four businesses

in the 21st Ward -

conducted the interviews.

The job fair drew 300

candidates. And, 50 were

hired. Now, 50 people

will be employed as crew

members, guest service

reps, shift managers,

cooks and delivery

drivers. Thank you to the

Jamal Group for your

support of the 21st Ward.

The Jamal Group will be

Christmas cheer was spread among 500 senior citizens this

past December 23rd. Mr. G’s Supper Club played host to

Alderman Brookins’ Annual Christmas Brunch. Even more

Christmas joy filled the banquet facility, courtesy of several

performers, including a professional comedian and singer. In

addition, dozens and dozens of raffle prizes were given away,

including a luxury party bus service and a stretch limousine

rental. Finally, a professional Disc Jockey, a balloon twister

and face painter spread even more Christmas blessings,

courtesy of Glenn David Productions. It’s always a greater

feeling to give than to receive. And, the senior citizens of the

21st Ward definitely shared the Christmas spirit.

The guests themselves added to the entertainment by

competing in contests for best dancer, best dressed man and

best dressed woman. And, Alderman Brookins honored the

most senior lady in attendance with a smile, a kiss on the

cheek, a plaque in her honor, and a Christmas hug.
