Disability Sports The Wyre Forest District Council received a three year fund totalling £27,000 to encourage inclusive sports throughout the district. This inclusive sport fund has meant that adults with learning and physical disabilities have been able to take part in activities such as Short mat bowling and boccia sessions which have been taking place at the Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre. Also an inclusive Angling day at Woodland fishery which took place on 14th May. It was a great day and gave the opportunity for adults to try a new sport they may not otherwise have had the chance to be a part of. Furthermore, the sports development department have been organising Multi-sports sessions every Thursday at the Wyre Forest Glades Leisure centre. These sessions try to encourage those with disabilities to take part in a variety of sports with their carers. We like to celebrate the achievements of those who take part in multi-sports by holding a sports day event every summer. This years event took place on the 3rd July 2014 at Bewdley Leisure Centre. It was a great day with around 50 people taking part in the sports. A special thanks to Bewdley Leisure Centre, those who volunteered from The Bewdley School and our staff for their help in making the day such a success. We look forward to next year!

Summer Activities 2014 Every summer the Sports Development Department organise numerous events and activities that will be running over the summer holidays for children. These include: Tennis, Tae Kwon Do, Dance, Athletics, Football, Cycling and Netball. We also have free sport sessions with our summer team.
