CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. All persons entering the sale room must register on entry with suitable ID. Entry to persons over 18 years only.

An entry fee of £4 per person will be charged.

2. A BUYERS PREMIUM OF 15 % (incl.) WILL BE CHARGED ON ALL LOTS IN THIS AUCTION

( including Credit Card transactions )

3. Payment can be made by cash, bank draft , personal cheque , credit or debit card. No credit can be given.

Cheques for sums over £100 must be supported by a written reference from the purchasers bank. Failing this,

good will be withheld until the cheque is cleared.

4. Under the rules of Auction the rightful purchaser of a specific lot shall be the highest bidder (subject to the bid

exceeding the vendors reserve figure.)

5. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse bids without having to state a reason and to withdraw, combine or

split lots as they see fit and reserve the right to bid on any lot.

6. The description of specific lots are for guidance only, no sale shall be invalidated by claimed inaccuracies in a

discription. The lots will be available for viewing so prospective bidders can examine the lots. Guide prices are

included for lots which are valued at over £20. These estimates are for guidance only.

7. No guaranties or warranties are given for any lot

8. ONLY PERSONS HAVING A CURRENT SHOTGUN CERTIFICATE OR RELEVANT VARIATION ON A

FIREARMS CERTIFICATE CAN LEGALLY BID ON A SPECIFIC LOT.

9. Until the fall of the hammer all lots are at the vendors risk, they then become the risk of the purchaser. Any

damage to the lots or the premises of the auction shall be payable by the purchaser or vendor responsible.

10. Should any dispute arise during the auction the Auctioneer reserves the right to re-sell the lot or determine the

rightful purchaser.

11. The Auctioneer cannot be held responsible for failure to observe or hear any bid. It is in the bidders interest to

clearly indicate and state the bid.

12. After the fall of the hammer the purchaser has entered into a legally binding contract with the vendor. Failure to

complete the purchase at the contracted price will render the purchaser liable to the deficit should the lot need to

be re-sold.

13. In accordance with the Gun Barrel Proof Acts of 1868 & 1950 and the rules of proof 1925 & 1954 the internal

dimensions of all barrels have been certified as being within the stated tolerance at a distance of nine inches

from the breech face. A purchaser may have the barrels checked at the auction. No dispute as to dimensions will

be considered after delivery. No guarantee can be made as to the actual working order of any gun.

14. No claims against the Auctioneers, their agents or servants shall be made for any accidents, personal injury or

any damage arising from the use of weapons purchased in their auctions.

15. The Auctioneers will operate a purchaser bidding number system. Purchasers are requested to register for a

bidders number before the start of the sale. Without a bidding number the Auctioneer cannot accept a bid. After

paying their account a Purchaser will not be able to bid again in that auction without obtaining a new bidding

number.

16. The lot labels of weapons are colour coded; blue spot for shotgun certificate, red spot for firearms certificate, no

spot will mean no certificate is required for purchase.

17. Commission bids by post , fax or e-mail will be accepted 48 hours before the date of the Auction . Commission

bids on the day of the auction will only be accepted until one hour before the sale starts. Rules on commission

bidding are available.

18. All purchasers and vendors are deemed to have read and agreed to the above conditions of sale . The Bidding

Agreements Act will be displayed in the sale room.

19. Any lots unsold will not be offered for sale at the end of the auction. Unsold lots will be returned to their

vendors or entered in the next sale.
