Greetings,

I am excited to share with you the many opportunities to participate in ice skating or hockey this year!

First, let me tell you a little bit about us, Appleton Ice, Inc. The organization is a non-profit, board-led, established in 1998 to manage and operate the Appleton Family Ice Center. We receive funding from ice rentals, sponsorship, grants, and skating programs.

The facility is rented out to user groups year-round for ice hockey and skating. The Appleton Family Ice Center is the home to:· Appleton United Boys & Girls High School hockey· Appleton Area Hockey Association· Fox Cities Ice Dogs· Lawrence University Hockey· Valley Figure Skating Club

Throughout the year the ice rink is open for public skating, learn to skate, and skills development camps. It’s annual operating budget is approximately $560,000.

In 2014, the board of directors complete an RFP to manage and operate the Tri-County Ice Arena on a 15-year lease to own agreement with the Winnebago County board of directors. The arena has been open since 1972-73 and has been the home to:· Fox Cities Stars boys and girls high school hockey· Fox Valley Youth Hockey Association· Neenah | Hortonville | Menasha High School Hockey· Valley Figure Skating Club

As you read through this brochure make note of the thousands of people who utilize our facilities and visit the Fox Cities Region because of our sport.
