The Australian Van Nationals Committee are writing to you regarding a National Motoring

event that we are proudly holding at the Geelong Showgrounds, Geelong, Vic during the

Easter weekend of 2009 - The 34rd Australian Van Nationals.

This annual gathering has been held every year since 1976 with event proceeds benefiting

many local charitable organisations and local communities throughout Australia.

The Van Nationals is a family event, which attracts entrants/ tourists from all over the country

and some from overseas. We believe this occasion is an exciting opportunity for your

business to receive:-

Recognition for supporting a family community event

Exposure to hundreds of tourists visiting the area over the Easter holiday period

The interest of local businesses to your product or services

Attention from a specific audience of car enthusiasts at Australias largest Van

show including hot rods and special interest vehicles

A chance to increase revenue with visual marketing opportunities, face to face contact

with spectators and entrants, advertising, media coverage and sales potential

In the lead up to Easter 2009 the Van Nationals Committee has a marketing campaign thatwill have your business promoted. The Van Nationals Committee aims to provide a

memorable and valuable experience for all concerned.

To finance the staging of this event we are seeking the supply of goods, services and financial

assistance. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the local Police for disadvantaged kids

in the Geelong area.

The Van Nationals committee will greatly appreciate any form of support. Please contact the

2009 Van Nationals- Geelong

YES they are on again. In 2009 The Van Nationals will be held at Geelong, Victoria from 9th

April 12 April.

Geelong is a major city located one hour drive from Melbourne. The city is known for its

great waterfront and very large population and being the gateway to the Surf Coast and The

Great Ocean Road. Judging by the recent weather we have had around these dates, Easter

next year should be a beautiful 24-27 degrees but be prepared as weather is known to be

unpredictable.

The venue for the Van Nationals will be the Geelong Showgrounds, Breakwater. We have

great camping areas around the arena, shower and toilet facilities; access to the large newer

building (the Hall of Agriculture), large arena, sealed roadways within the venue and more

than ample 240 volt power for all at our disposal.

The grounds are within a ten minute drive from the city with shopping centres, car washes,

gaming venues, petrol stations, pubs and public transport close by. On Sunday, show day, the

showgrounds also hosts a Sunday Market which leads to thousands of potential spectators for

the show and outlet for your business advertising.

There is plenty to do around the Geelong area, so plan a holiday with the family around the

Nationals.

Drinks on site will be managed on site by the Van Council of Victoria members for their

fundraising at local hotel prices. Remember there is one dinner supplied with your entry on

Saturday night with music entertainment and the usual dress up night. There are plenty of

good takeaway places in the local area including Kentucky, McDonalds, pizza, fish and chips,chicken etc. a local charity will be providing on site catering for campers with prices and

menus to be negotiated but these will be fair.

The theme of the event is Psychedelic 70s the theme can be interpreted throughout the

Nationals using your campsite, party night, show day display or in any other manner you can

conceive.

The rocker cover races that were so successful in Queensland and South Australia will be held

again along with (remote control cars)? and the theme can be incorporated into them. Early

planning and fabricating will definitely give you a head start.

The committee is looking at new and different ideas and you will be kept abreast of what is

happening with the next Nationals advice that will be sent to those who pre-enter the event.

ARE RUNNING THE SHOWNSHINE PRESENTATIONS FROM 3.30 PM WHILE THE

SHOW IS STILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
