The Board of the Australian Logistics Council has agreed to expand ALC’s focus by including the issue of ‘People’ in its policy focus, aimed at increasing and encouraging greater diversity in the logistics industry. As a first step, ALC will be organising the first ‘Women in Logistics’ Summit in Melbourne on 25 November 2015 to discuss and map a series of strategies ALC will adopt to attract, support and develop greater diversity in the logistics industry. PEOPLE, WOMEN AND DIVERSITY OPPORTUNITY FOR CHANGE WHAT THE FIGURES TELL US » In 2013, ASX reported that women made up only 13.6% of transport company board directors, ranking 14th of 20 industries reported 4 » Women are predominately employed in support related roles, such as administration, human resources and finance 5 » Throughout the industry as a whole, there are approximately four times more male managers than female managers 6 . SPONSORSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS1. The event manager is the Australian Logistics Council, ABN 23 131 860 136.2. All monies are payable in Australian dollars. Cheques should be made payable

to the Australian Logistics Council Ltd and must be drawn on an Australian bank.

3. The Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 10% are applicable to all goods and services offered by the event manager and all prices in this document are inclusive of the GST. GST is calculated at the date of publication of this document. The event manager reserve the right to vary the quoted prices in accordance with any movements in the legislated rate of the GST.

4. Sponsorship will be allocated only on receipt of a signed booking form accepting all terms & conditions. Confirmation will be provided on receipt of the booking, together with a tax invoice for the required 50% deposit. The deposit is payable 30 days from the date of the tax invoice. The full balance is due and payable by 30 October 2015. Applications received after 30 October 2015 must include full payment.

5. All monies due and payable must be received (and cheques cleared) by the event managers prior to the event. No organisation will be listed as a sponsor in any official material until deposit and a booking form have been received by the event managers.

6. No organisation shall assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of their sponsorship package except upon prior written consent of the event manager.

7. Sponsorship monies will facilitate towards the successful planning and promotion of the Summit in addition to subsidising the cost of management, communication, invited speakers, program and publications. Sponsorship monies are not expended on any entertainment incurred which is incidental to the activities of the Summit.

8. Sponsorship entitlements including organisation logo on the Summit website and other marketing material will be delivered upon receipt of the required deposit/full payment.

9. The event manager reserves the right to reject any booking at any time that it deems inappropriate or unsuitable.

10. Sponsorship requests will be processed in order of receipt and all allocations are at the discretion of the event manager, with their decision being final.

11. In the event of cancellation, a service fee of 50% of total fees applies for cancellations prior to 30 October 2015. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date. After sponsorship has been confirmed and accepted, a reduction in sponsorship is considered a cancellation and will be governed by the above cancellation policy.

12. Under no circumstances is the sharing of registrations and tickets between attendees permitted.

PRIVACY STATEMENTBy submitting a sponsorship request form, you consent to your details being shared with suppliers to the event to assist with participation and to be contacted regarding other events organised by the Australian Logistics Council. You agree to your organisational details (name, position, organisation only) being included in participant lists.

You understand that photos and video may be taken of your company’s representation and representatives during the event. These photos and videos will be recorded on behalf of the Australian Logistics Council for documentation and promotional purposes.
