ABOUTTHE GLENCOE INVITATIONAL WILL HAVE ITS 25TH EVENT IN 2020.

Previous champions include Graham Delaet (2005), McKenzie Hughes (2011) and Jared DuToit (2016). Other notables that have played in our event include Corey Connors, Taylor Pendrith, Austin Connelly, Adam Swenson, David Hearn, Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor.

To date, 65 former participants are now playing on various professional tours around the globe.

The tournament is played on The Glencoe Golf & Country Club Forest course, desined by Robert Trent Jones, that was last ranked at number 56 in the 2018 Score Golf Top 100.

NEW CATEGORY IN 2020THE GLENCOE (OR TITLE SPONSOR) INVITATIONAL WILL HAVE MEN’S AND A NEW WOMEN’S EVENT FOR 2020.

This will be a truly unparalleled event with a unique format for men and women. The men and women will play on The Forest course at the same time in alternating groups for 54 holes.

The format of the event is 54 holes/no cut. Max 50 players in the men’s event and 30 players in the women’s event (with a plan to grow the women’s event to 50 players in the future).

WHY ARE WE ADDING A WOMEN’S DIVISION?TO GROW THE GAME, THE EVENT AND PROMOTE WOMEN’S INITIATIVES.

To leverage the increased exposure that hosting the men’s 2020 Canadian Amateur will bring to the tournament.

Why are we adding pros on the women’s side only?To ensure the highest quality field of competition and fill a void in women’s golf for young pros and elite amateurs who need more premier events.

WHY SPONSOR US?Becoming a sponsor of The Glencoe Invitational creates a mutually beneficial relationship. Sponsors gain exposure to players and 2,500 Glencoe members for the week of the event. Sponsor’s logo will be included in advertising in The Flag (monthly Golf Club newsletter) along with Glencoe Life (downtown Club magazine, produced four times per year, with 1,000 copies distributed throughout the Club and emailed to all Glencoe members).

In 2020, the women’s event will add a focus of promoting and empowering women as business leaders, influencers and community champions, providing a platform for networking, and giving back to the community.

OUR GOAL IS TO SUPPORT GROWTH IN WOMEN’S GOLF.

Marketing approach• We promote six months in advance of our event. • We work with sponsors to co-create content.• We tag sponsors on our social channels when

applicable. • We allow sponsors to share their brand story

at our events. • We work with sponsors to find new opportunities

to engage our audience.

Social Media/Marketing PresenceSponsors will gain exposure on our social media channels

leading up to, during, and in post-event announcements. THE EVENT IS WELL SUPPORTED BY MEDIA INCLUDING LOCAL TV, RADIO AND PRINT COVERAGE DURING THE WEEK OF THE EVENT.

Following the event, a sponsorship report will be generated (attendance, year over year statistics, consumer perception of sponsors, social media impressions, and key takeaways).
