The 10th Annual Bald Eagle Bash--the Alabama Gulf Coast’s Party for Preservation--is Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Tonsmeire Weeks Bay Resource Center. This signature event for the Weeks Bay Foundation has earned a reputation for delivering great food, great music, and a great time, all on the edges of beautiful Weeks Bay. The “Bash” in-cludes fresh Gulf shrimp prepared by the area’s best chefs and restau-rants, a low country shrimp boil, delectable desserts by area bakers, beer from Fairhope Brewing Company and Budweiser, and a great selection of wine.

This year’s musical entertainment is the popular Red Clay Strays. From the far reaches of rural south Al-abama, The Red Clay Strays claim their unique sound with a humble confidence that can only come from their upbringing. This band, on stage and off, reminds you of southern music’s heyday and gives you hope that it may not have lost its way after all. Lead singer, Brandon Coleman, with vocals that bring to mind young Elvis, is the heart of their high-energy show along with Drew Nix on rhythm guitar, Zach Rischel on lead, Andrew Bishop on bass and John Hall on drums.

About the FoundationWe are a nationally-accredited land trust working to save the land, water, wildlife, and critical habitats of coastal Alabama, while providing environmental education and outreach. The Weeks Bay Foundation was incorporated in 1990 as a non-profit organi-zation to support the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in its efforts to conserve the pristine coastal area of Baldwin County. The Foundation, with the support of over 550 members, generous donors and event sponsors, has protected more than 7,000 acres along the waters’ edges within Baldwin and Mobile counties. This is done through conservation easements, land donations, and land purchases. The land we protect can never be developed, and will remain forever wild.

Can We Count on Your Help?Bald Eagle Bash is the Foundation’s principal fund raiser, and provides revenue for land, water, and wildlife protection, along with education and outreach programs. For your sponsorship, we will provide widespread marketing and PR exposure, plus the opportunity to mingle with 1,200-plus guests at the ”Bash”.
