We are a dedicated team of 50+ engineers, industrial designers, and business students

from all walks of life coming together for one goal: to dominate F-SAE competitions.

Formula SAE is a college student racecar design competition organized by SAE

International every year, but to us it’s our arena where we fight to be the best. You’ll find the

finest engineers designing and manufacturing the different systems of the racecar, meeting

deadlines, fundraising, and gathering real-world experience from this such as: what to do

when your engine explodes and how to design proper suspension.

The Formula SAE competition started at the University of Houston in 1979. Back then, only

6 teams and 40 students competed. Today there are over 120 teams from all over the world

and 2470 students in the competition. UH was a force to be reckoned with over 20 years

ago in the competition, but only until last year, it had been dormant. Last year, we outdid all

the first year teams and many experienced teams coming in 26th out of 80 teams. This year,

our goal is to break into the top 20 teams and further restore the racing glory to UH.

Sponsoring the University of Houston Formula SAE team is an investment in the training of

enthusiastic technical professionals of the future. Think of sponsorship as being a job

advertisement and a human resources investment for the future. Students in this program

use what is taught in the class room and apply it to real life situations. This allows team

members develop skills and gain experience that is desirable in any working environment.

In addition, we are a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization. Your contributions may put you

in a lower tax bracket and save you up to $19,092.30 on your income tax. The more you

donate, the more likely you are to drop into a lower tax bracket. We can help you plan it.
