Call for Papers: VI Queen Maria Christina Award.

The Real Centro Universitario Escorial Maria Cristina invites authors from all

nations to submit papers for this award sponsored by the Santander Bank.

Category: CHIROPRACTIC

Award Guidelines

1. In regard to the award, an author may submit one or more papers. The paper

must be unpublished and authored by one or more people. This is an

international award and the papers may be presented in English or Spanish.

The research paper must be original, neither published in any journal nor

presented to other award contests or conferences.

2. The research papers may be on Basic Sciences (experimental models,

Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Immunology, etc), Clinical Sciences

(Analytical and Diagnostic Methods, including intra- and inter-examiner

reliability), Clinical Trials, Retrospective Cohort Studies, and areas of specific

interest (Anthropology, Epidemiology, and Education) related to Chiropractic.

3. Papers need to be submitted using Times New Roman font in 12 pt with 1.5

line spacing, in a Word-format (.doc or .docx) to the email address

[email protected] from an account that ought not to revel the

identity of the author. On the first page, the category should be indicated

(CHIROPRACTIC), title of the paper, and the pseudonym (pen name) of the

author. The real name(s) of the author(s) may not appear on the front page or

any page throughout the paper. If the real name is found in any part of the

paper or the sending address displays the real identity of the sender, it will be

considered disqualified for the award.

4. The candidate must send an envelope with the following information inside: the

author´s information (full name, address, telephone number, and profession),

category of the award (CHIROPRACTIC), title of the paper, and the chosen

pseudonym. The envelope must be mailed (with no real name as SENDER) to:

5. The deadline for the call of papers will be April 5, 2018 at 8pm (Central European

Time – GMT + 02:00).

6. In order to select the recipient for the award, the Jury established for each

category will be given authority and autonomy to interpret and apply these

guidelines, also declaring the prize vacant if that is the case.

7. The final decision will be reached a month after the deadline and it will be

made public immediately. The award recipient (or a representative) is strongly

encouraged to attend the Award Ceremony on May 5th 2018.

8. The prize to be awarded is in the amount of THREE THOUSAND EUROS. Tax will

be applied to this prize money and will be deducted following Spanish

regulations and taxations. The prize will be exclusively deposited in a

Santander Bank’s account.

9. The Jury has the authority to deem the prize vacant or even award it to more

than one paper, thus dividing the prize equally by the number of winning

papers. The decision of the Jury is final.

10. The winning paper will be promoted in the publication designated by the RCU

Escorial-Maria Cristina. The material submitted for the award will not be

returned to the participants. The author(s) of the winning paper will be allowed

to publish the paper in any publication of his or her choice once it has been

published by the RCU Escorial-Maria Cristina. In any case, the rights of the author

and the intellectual property will always remain in possession of the author(s).

11. The participant author(s) may be from any country and of any nationality. There

may be one author or a group of authors. By participating in this award, the

author is in agreement with all the guidelines presented above.
